It's all about me!

New Family News

Well, my birthday went just fine. Mommy said we couldn't do a party with my friends because it was my "time," whatever that means. But I did get a cute little squeaky hippo to play with and daddy bought me a pretty pink collar with a matching lead. He couldn't wait to give it to me, so I got it early! Yeah!!!

Mommy had a special day the day after my birthday. Daddy let her lay around the house and not stress. And then guess what he did?? The next day mommy took off of work and they took a drive up to the airport. Next thing I know they are walking in the house with a little fuzzy thing that looks like Rusty. I tried to play with him like I do Rusty, but they told me no. Apparently it's not a dog. Mommy says it's a kitten and I have to be careful with him. His name is Lex. Daddy got him for mommy for her special day. Lex is still a little shy around me. I don't think he realizes I just want to give him kisses! I don't want to hurt him!! The other day he came up and snuggled with me. I think I just have to give him time to get used to me. He likes Rusty a lot. They sleep together on the bed with mommy and daddy. Mommy seems really happy to have a kitty around. She loves having lots of us furry people around her.

Mom says she might have a surprise for me. She's been looking at this computer a lot. And I overheard her tell daddy she is trying to find some parks for me and Rusty to go to. I told Rusty what I heard and he's really excited. He said he used to go to parks and stores and lots of places when they lived in their old house. Then I heard something about Drake! She told daddy she wants to set up a play date for me and him!! I'm soooooo excited! I'm around Rusty and Lex all day. Let's face it, I need to play with people my own size sometimes! But first I have to get used to going to parks and being around more human people. I love humans, but mommy says I love them too much sometimes. I don't know what that is supposed to mean. I just like to give them kisses!! She even said that Izzy's mom lives kind of close and I might get to meet her too! I can't wait! I'm making so many new friends!

Anyway, that's it for now. Mommy needs the computer. (I think she's going to look for some more parks) I will bark with you guys more later!

My first birthday

So, my first birthday is coming up on 10 May. I can't believe it! I feel so old. Mommy went shopping the other day and I think she got me a present. I heard Cody talking about it and showed it to daddy when I wasn't looking. That sneaky little monster. I guess I will just have to wait! Daddy doesn't seem as excited about my birthday as I am, but he's a man so I can't expect too much. I'm hoping I get a birthday cake. Maybe mommy will make me a special one. Mommy says I'm growing like a weed. I hope that's a good thing because I like to eat weeds. Rusty just prances around the house like it's no big deal. I bet he'd be barking a different tune if I pounced him! It's okay though, I know he loves me. Anyway, I will write more when after the party and let ya'll know what happens!
