Arrival Story: We found Molly at a town festival called Court Days in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was a tiny little thing, huddled in the corner of an old rabbit cage with a bowl of water and a soggy old sweater. It was a cold day; we were all in sweatshirts and jackets and this poor little fluffkin was stuck in a cold, damp cage. I asked the man who was trying to sell her if we could hold her and look at her and he obliged. The minute I picked her tiny body up, I knew I had to have her. She fit in the palm of my hand as I cuddled her close for snuggling and to get her warm. The man started in on his sales pitch to my parents as I fell in love with the shivering little ball of fluff in my arms. He insisted a high price, but once my mom held her, it was well worth it. We knew we were getting kinda gauged on the deal (money-wise), but it didn't matter. She was perfect and she belonged with us.

Bio: Despite the sales-man's claims that she was a registered AKC Miniature Shih Tzu, when we contacted the breeder, we were informed that both parents were purebred, but only the mother was registered. Again, this didn't matter to us at all, other than the man had gauged us for papers he said the breeder would get for us. Further research has led us to believe that she's a Tibetan Spaniel. In the end, we're just ecstatic to have Molly and she's helped us all through some tough times already.

So, yesterday afternoon Mommy and Daddy were in the big bubbly tub outside where I couldn't see them. There used to be a swing next to the thing where I could jump up and watch them. The swing is now at my big sister's house, so Daddy moved a chair over next to the tub for me to sit in. I was content with that for a while, but I wanted to get a little closer. I got up on the back of the chair and got my front paws up on the side of the tub. that was okay for a little while too. Then I decided I was thirsty, so I got a drink from the tub. It smelled really nice! I finally got all the way up on the edge of the tub and got another drink. Tasty! Mommy and Daddy were all the way over on the other side of the tub (where I couldn't get to them), so I decided to dive right in and take a swim! The water was nice and warm and all the bubbles tickled my belly. I swam over to Mommy and gave her a soggy kiss, then I swam over to Daddy and snuggled into his chest. They let me stay in with them until they were ready to get out. I think they were surprised that I could swim. Actually...I didn't know I could either! Hopefully they'll let me go swimming again real soon. :0{P

Last night my people arrived home after being gone for way too long (4 whole hours! the nerve...) and they had something funny with them. It was black and white, kinda furry, and smelled like...a dog! It's a tiny little thing; makes me feel like a giant (like Connor hahaha). I'm not sure if I like it yet or not. It doesn't move around much and whimpers a lot. Mommy feeds it special food, which isn't fair! I want some too! They keep calling it "Colleen". Hmph...silly name if you ask me. I hope this little thing doesn't think she'll take over or anything. This is MY house now, since Pandy moved away. I miss her a lot. We used to play and nap together and gang up on Connor. Maybe this new little thing will be my friend too. I'll just have to remind her who's boss though.
