So Much Has Changed

Well, a lot has gone on since I wrote my laast entry. Mostly we've got a bigger famiy.
Mom fur mom is now living with us - although she doesn't really like me any more. Her name is Sassy. She likes all our other pups but fur some reason she doesn't really care fur me, which kind of makes me sad.
Sadie is staying at Grandmas fur a while because she has gotten really bad arthritis and wasn't doing to good with all the walking we usually do. Me and Mom really miss her, but we know it's for the best, and we'll still get to see her everytime we go home.
I have another new sisfur, her name is London. Mom and Dad think she is "so adorable" but she scares me !!! She's always chasing me and barking at me and biting me. Not to mention she is the size of a rat and eats mor than I do - what a little pig !
Me and Niki have got to stick together now so she don't hurt us. I think she may be some kind of alien. She even gets to sleep in bed with Mom, Dad, and Sassy. Mom says me and Niki can't sleep in the bed because we have bad manners - since when is wrestling considered bad manners ?

In other neews;
Mommys nephew got out of the hospital and is doing much better. The sherriff is behind bars where he should be and Dank now has a memorial at the future animal sanctuary of ours.
We miss her terribly but know she is in a better place now. We're just thankful for the wonderful times we had with her.

There are a few of my Dogster Pals and their families that really need some support.
1. Shadow the black lab
2. Rio the Aussie
3. Tiny Dancer who just recently went to the bridge
4. Pinky a white APBT who went missing on the 19th from her home in Channelview, TX. She was wearing a blue color at time of disappearance. Her Dogster id # is 625103
5. Casper the 7 month old Pom that was recently diagnosed with Pulmonic Stenosis. His dogster id is 743188

Also, please don't furget about Mica and Mirra and their wonderful Mom. They need all the support they can get.

Well, until next time

- Diesel

First, I would like to say THANK YOU - to all of you wonderful pups for my beautiful gifts and the very heart touching messages in them, and of course all of your pmails.
Most importantly - thank you all for supporting me, reading my diary, sending your thoughts and prayers to my family and I during this tragic time.
And a HUGE thanks to HQ for making all of this possible.
We love each and every one of you - you are all like family to us.

A few that I want to mention by name for all of the kindness and support that you have given to myself and the rest of my family - throught our journey here on Dogster.
Sully
Morgan, Nico, & Holly
Abby & Shadow
Mica & Mirra
Shiloh & Vip
KJ & Rain
Gromit
Champ
Chuppy
Bella Swan & Ginger
Star & Bandit
Hannah The Brave
Flicka
and Lil Miss Mya

if I didn't mention your name , it isn't because we don't love and appreciate you - but the pups I have listed have done so much for us and others - and I felt they deserved a special thank you.

Now heres an update on what is going on.

Moms nephew has finally been moved out of ICU and is doing much better.
Moms sister had a metting with the city council which turned out so great.
She also walked door to door in our community for 2 and a half hours and ended up with 640 signatures for a petition to get the officers authority removed and for the removal of his gun license.
More to come later.

*Hugs, Kisses, & Best Wishes*

In Memory of Dank

I've had a ot of pmails today asking me who Dank is. So, I thought I would write her story in my diary.
Dank was my furmoms sister - she lived with my humoms sister. She was rescued from life as a bait dog when she was 7 months old. She then became a registered therapy dog at the Childrens CancerCenter in Dallas, TX.
She was always a joy to be around and loved everyone and everything she came in contact with.
Born 12-17-03, murdered by ignorance on 8-15-08.

While outside playing with my humoms 4 year old nephew, Dank was shot 7 times, our nephew, also had bullet wounds and is currently in ICU in Dallas.

Sadly, Dank passed away 3 hours after the incident. The man who shot her, the County Sherriff - why ? Because she was pit.

Often you see or hear stories about a pit attacking and killing somebody - whether it be a person or a dog - many times, these stories that you here had nothing at all to do with a pit.

HOWEVER -

How often on the news is it shown that an officer kills a pit bull for no apparent reason, just because he does not like the breed ???
How often do you see on the news when a pit bull does something good for its family or community ???

Dank was very loved and is deeply missed. She will always be in our hearts, and her legacy will live on forever.

The man that did this wouldn't even say he was sorry - not about Dank, not about the 4 year old boy that he shot and put into ICU - instead, he laughed.
How can people be so cruel ?

He hurt so man lives by what he did, not only the lives of our family, but the lives of several children, and the lives of every person in our community.

This was one story that DID make the news, and the paper. However, no charges have been brought upon the man who did this.
