Quick Bio:

Likes:
Giving Kisses, Stealing Socks and Eating - especially when her baby brother drops the food

Pet-Peeves:
People that refuse to pet her - all she wants is love. And she knows how cute she is.

Favorite Toy:
Can we say spoiled - the floor is littered with her favorite toys! It use to be her oinking pig, then it was her octopus, but nowadays she is really into her hippo or frisbee.

Favorite Food:
She is a pug - she will not say no to any type of food. But if she had to pick - she would say anything with peannut butter in it. and now thanks to Aidan - cheerios.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere you want to take her - she loves to be outside so she can watch people and find other dogs milling about.

Best Tricks:
She knows all the standards - but her best one is getting you to forgive her within a minute of her doing something bad.

Arrival Story:
My husband and I lucked out big time when we found Nina. Nina was rescued by a woman from the breeder because she has the "loose knee" syndrome and she could not be sold to the big pet stores with that condition. When we first responded to the ad, we were told we were too late. The two litter mates the woman had rescued were both adopted to other families. After an afternoon of looking at shelters for a dog we could adopt, we received a call from the rescue woman telling us that the adoption of the little pug she liked to call Spike fell through. We agreed to meet her the next day to see the little one. As soon as we saw her, we knew she was the puppy we had been waiting for. She was only 2.5 lbs and 8 weeks old but she had the spunk of a 100lb dog and the face of a little pug angel. 15 months later and now 17 lbs, she still has that spunk and her angel face melts my heart everyday. She is the best dog I could have ever asked for (even when she tries to eat the mattress boxspring).

Bio:
We named her Nina after the folk / blues singer Nina Simone.
