Arrival Story: Tella's Emily's family started out with 2 family pets, a Dachshund and a Dachshund/Beagle mix. They had puppies, then their puppies had puppies, and then their puppies had puppies, and so on. They placed many of the dogs but before they knew it they had 20 dogs. The family has sold their property, forcing them to find homes for 15 of their dogs. Jack's Angels was able to take 5 dogs, including Emily, her Mom (Dixie), and her two siblings (Martie and Natalie).

Emily went to her new home today. She was welcomed by her new Dad John and sister Athena, a Manchester Terrier. Emily has one last family member, currently in Iraq, to meet.
We'd like to thank everyone who offered to give Emily a great home. She may be the most popular dog in Jack's Angels history. Many hours went into processing applications submitted for her adoption. We had several really great prospects, making it really difficult to decide which was the best for Emily.
While our decision is sure to disappoint many, we hope they'll consider adopting another dog in need. There are quite a few adult dogs from Emily's household in need of forever homes, as well as, Lila's 4 puppies who will be ready for adoption in a couple of months.

After a veterinary exam and bloodwork, Emily was given a clean bill of health today. She was then spayed and microchipped. She also received her second puppy booster and rabies vaccinations. After a few recovery days, she can go to her new home.
We've been sorting through the pile of applications submitted for her adoption, trying to find the perfect match. It's great that so many people have offered to give her a home but it's going to be a difficult to choose.
