Arrival Story:
When we watched dog shows on TV, we were sure to watch the sporting group - - our last dog was a wonderful lab. In watching the sporting group, we often noticed the handsome and unusual Curlies. So, when we were ready for our next pooch, we went to a big dog show to interact with Curlies and their people. We immediately fell in love, and scoured the region for a good breeder with a soon-to-be-available male puppy. We were lucky to find Kelly at Laketower Retrievers in Pennsylvania. So, at just eight weeks old, our little pup flew to us, his new family in Chicago.

Bio:
It was such a challenge to pick out a name. Hubby and I couldn't agree. We'd been discussing names for a few weeks, but when we met our pup, none seemed to fit. We finally selected Dash for a few reasons. His AKC name is "Born to Run." (The breeder requested that the entire litter be named after Springsteen songs) We thought Dash was a good name for a running pup. Also, he arrived to us via Delta Airlines' DASH service. A-HA! And, finally, his dad's name is Flash, which also inspired our selection of Dash. And, you know what? Dash really fits. Especially when he's having a spaz-out session in the backyard, something we now refer to as a "Mad Dash." Fortunately, the Mad Dash is reliably followed by a "Dash Crash."
