Arrival Story: I was rescued from the Lewisville City Pound. I ended up in the pound because I escaped out of my first owners yard. I couldn't believe it after all the money she spent on me as a pup, and then she wouldn't pay the fee to spring me from the pound. I was even wearing tags!
When Erin (my Foster mom) found me it was my last day, thankfully Erin frequently rescues Shibas, she took me home where I was fostered with her for a year.
Then mom and dad adopted me from her on August 15, 2007. I've been love my wonderful little family. And I'm loving all the attention Nicole and Ian and their friends are giving me. Life couldn't be better.
Bio: I am the biggest ham you'll ever meet, I've even conned old ladies into lovin' on me. Just like any other shiba out there I'm handsome and I know it. I am a total mama's boy (sorry dad) and snuggle with her every chance I get.

My brofur and I haven't been around too much. Mom and Dad are planning a wedding and time has escaped them to take care of our extracurricular activities. Don't worry we are still being taken care very spoiledly. The wedding is this Saturday (Nov 7th). We just wanted to let y'all know we'll be taking a brief hiatus for the next two weeks or so. So please don't miss us too much. We'll be back soon enough with lots of pictures and stories to tell.
Much shiba love to you all,
Jiro & Yuki-san
P.S. we're going to be the psudo-ring bearers
On August 22nd, Mom spent the whole day driving. She drove from DFW to Akota, OK (2 hours North) and then back down to Italy, TX (1 hour south of DFW). Finally she arrived home. She was transporting 2 shibas that were breeder releases from a puppy miller in Arkansas. One of the girls went to Austin to be fostered down there and one of the girls came back to be fostered with us.
Luna, our current foster, is a 9 year old black and tan female. She is a wonderful shiba and her only health concerns is she is overweight by about 8 pounds and she needs a dental. She is quite the mischievous little girl and is very friendly. She can be shy at first.
She is getting spayed today and a dental while she's under. I know they are going to have to pull a few teeth. But she'll be happier once it's over. Her blood work came back beautifully as the vet put it and I know she's in good hands. It's just her age worries me but I know she has to be spayed. So please keep her in your thoughts today. I'll update when I know more.
I love that Jiro produce multi-colored fur, I once found a single guard hair that was tan at the base, then white, then tan again finally ending in black.
I love that Jiro has a dancing butt, when he’s excited you can grab his back at the base of his tail and he will dance like a crazy fool, rubbing up against you and between your legs, nipping at your arm.
I love all the silly games we play, like Pants! When putting on a pair of pants Jiro has to be right there attacking the legs trying to “save” you from them.
I love that when the water turns off in the shower Jiro runs to the bathtub to help whoever it is dry off.
I love that Jiro will curl up in my lap or curl up on the arm rest of the couch (that I’m resting my arm on) and go to sleep while we watch TV.
Most of all, I love that Jiro is a true mama’s boy. He was once being pet by a friend and I called him over Jiro pulled himself out of the guys arms and came trotting over to me like “yes mom what can I do for you?”
