Mommy is teaching me American Sign Language (ASL). I know "What do you want?", "Talk to me", "Good Boy!", "Cookie", "Sit" and "Stay." One of Mommy's Deaf friends even gave me a name sign!!! Mommy taught me how to "talk" (aka howl) for my meals !!

Arrival Story:
After our dear Sasha crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sept. 19, 2006, we were so lonely without a dog. After about one month, we began searching the local shelters for another Northern Breed. After checking six local shelters over a period of several weeks, we came across this beautiful face looking for a home. I called that afternoon to inquire about him and later that day, my husband and I drove to the shelter to visit him. He had been brought to the shelter as a stray: no collar, no micro-chip, no tags, but a very sweet disposition. He is a Husky, and aloof he was out in the shelter yard. My husband wanted to "go home and talk about it." That face just melted me though, and on the way home, we turned around, went back to the shelter, and put an application on him. I had an appointment the next morning, to go over our application, and we were approved. After he was neutered, we picked him up and we have been "wrapped around his paw" ever since.
