Partner convinced me that it was time to get a dog .. and while researching breeds, the Shiba Inu was deemed to be one of the hardest to bond with (read 'challenge'). Nothing like trying to get someone who does not need anyone to like you!!
We like a challenge. And Nikko has turned out to be a wonderful member of our family.

This cool -- and I mean real cool .. I thought it was another walk in the rain .. but my daddie grabbed his big white snow boots! S-N-O-W ! ! I know where we were going! .. into the Jeep .. and 45 mins later .. we are heading up the mountain .. the rain is now snow .. its snowing!
5 mins later .. we are out .. in the snow. I love the snow.!! yeah

He is all smiles. Nice walk .. great breakfast.. extra cookie. I knew something was up.
Just after noon .. I see him sneaking into the bedroom .. and yes, out comes that little damm black bag. In goes his clothes ... his shaving kit. And the kiss .. and out the door he goes. Off on one of his 'business trips'.

It happens, maybe twice a year. I wake up .. and its has snowed! Snowed my coat that is. My dads are pissed ... its my twice yearly three to five day long coat blowing shed-er-amma!
Well ... into the bath ... then when I am done .. I get walked ... then there is the evil look in dad's eyes .. and yes ... he squats down .. and starts plucking my coat like a chicken! Like a damm chicken.
Couple more days .. and I will be done.
Well ... its kibble tonight.
