Arrival Story:
My Grandma and Grandpa wanted my Mom to have a dog, since it had been almost four years since her Lady died. They saw me in the giveaway section of the newspaper and the rest is history!
Bio:
I was born in TN to a family that wasn't very nice to me. I don't know what happened to my Mom or siblings, but a very nice lady rescued me. We were together for a few months when she had to move to an apartment with no dogs allowed! I went to live with her cousins in MI, who were also very nice but they had to work, so I was home alone alot. Three months after my first birthday they decided to try and find me a new home, one with more time! The first night the ad was in the paper my family called and I've been with them ever since! I moved to NC with Mom for awhile, but we're back in MI until next summer. Then it's off to NC again. Mom says I might get a brother or sister once we get there too!

Well, Mom & I never really expected the first entry in the Dogster diary to be bad news!
A few weeks back, I dealt with a bout of pneumonia. My vet, Dr. Anderson, had me on five different medications. It took a couple weeks, but I felt alot better. Until my Previcox [pain medication] ran out. At first I was still okay, but after awhile I got sore again. I didn't move quite as quick and I slept alot more.
After Mom dropped me off and Grandma and Grandpa's this morning, I got worse. I wouldn't get off the couch to get a treat or go outside! They called the vet again and she wasn't in, but the nice people there told them to give me some baby aspirin. When my Mom came home for lunch she was worried. Thankfully the vet called before she left again! She said that I need to be back on the Previcox full time, as I had developed arthritis. That wasn't so bad, but the next bit was: to prevent the arthritis from getting worse, I'm only allowed to go for five minute walks! Mom and I walk quite alot, especially during the summer. Mom cried alot, but she was glad I would feel better.
Now Mom is online looking at dog strollers, so that we can still go for our walks. If anyone has any suggestions, we'd love to here them!
