 Quick Bio:
Likes: Strange noises I can perk my ears up at, ice cubes, playing chase/tag, and my mommy.

Pet-Peeves: People blowing on my fur, the stupid harness my mom bought me, wearing a seatbelt in the car, getting my nails clipped, mom not being in plain sight. Oh, and being tricked into the bath.

Favorite Toy: Knotted rope toy.

Favorite Food: Kibbles & Chunks. Corned beef. Guinness. Anything I'm not supposed to eat.

Favorite Walk: Since we're in a new city, I can find new smells just about anywhere.

Best Tricks: Dance pretty, shake, roll over, jump, and BANG!

Arrival Story: Mom says: I searched high and low for a dog to love that could be happy living in an apartment. I even drove over 50 miles for a dog at a pound in a neighboring state said they would hold for me- and then didn't.
Finally in perusing craigslist, I saw Hercules. He was ADORABLE. His current human was in the air force and had been shipped out overseas. A friend was taking care of his dog until they could find a new place for him. I scrambled to get out there that very night before someone else could scoop him up.
As soon as this little pup jumped out of the car and pranced around wagging his prosh little tail, I knew he was my dog. He looked like he was smiling at me, and I promptly renamed him Pip because it suits his personality 100%.

Bio: Pip was hit by a car on September 4th, 2008, and died pretty much instantly. 2400 miles away from me, who had been flown to Washington for work. A stranger named Larson called me and said, "I don't know your name, but do you have a dog named Pip?". My heart was in my throat and it was only downhill from there.
Hurricane Gustav knocked over a tree and left a small hole in our fence. Too small for anyone but Pip to squeeze out of. He was running around the neighborhood being his merry little self. Larson couldn't get the license plate number of the car; he was nice enough to carry my dog home and take off his tags so I could keep them. Sorcha, my roommate, buried him under the tree in our front yard.
I feel awful and empty. Pip was my best friend, my sidekick. I had been thinking earlier how our one year anniversary of being a family was coming up. About him wearing a Santa hat to entertain me while I spent Christmas alone. He traveled across the country with me, ever loyal. I can't count how many times he made me laugh or comforted me when I cried.
I miss you Pip. I missed you since I set foot in Chicago and I'm sorry I wasn't there to take care of you. I love you with all of my heart. You were a great dog and a great friend.
