good news/bad news

Hi everyone....I know it has been a while...Mom has been having a hard time health wise....She had surgery for a very serious condition....and broke her ankle twice and needed to have surgery for that too.....After a lot of thought and tears and encouragement from family the decision was made to allow me to go live with a wonderful new family who live on a very beautiful place with lots of place for me to run and they have a lake Maybe I will learn to swim this year.....I have already gone on a trip to Vermont with my new family...We went SNOW SHOEING!!!!!! WHAT A HOOT!!!!!

Mom is missing me A LOT! But knowing that I am having fun and getting all that healthy excersise really helps her ...Hope....My new friend...told her that I pined for mom a while...but now I am settleing in and I really enjoy my new boy....he is 9 and we have a ball....They told Mom to come see me any time.....but Im af raid mom thinks it will upset me.....But I sure would like to see her.....Maybe she will come ...I hope so.....

So That's it.....good and bad in my life right now...think good thoughts for my mom...She is having the harder time....Maybe she will find a smaller dog that is calmer and easier to handle than I ......I hope so...I think:). I'll let you know what happens...

Hope's sister has three labs that I get play with...I love that part too...

Been awhile

OK...I haven't been here for a bit....Don't know why....It hasn't been too busy around here...Same old things....But enough so that we don't get bored...I am really liking the little run my mom made me out back of the condo...Then on days when it is hard for her to walk I can still get a little excersize...That is quite the scene...Mom comes out with me and we play catch...and tug and games that are not too hard for her...It's so great...But then on the good days we walk and go to the doggie park...It works out...Like I have said befor...Moms...gotta love 'em

We did add a picture like Mom promised..It didn't come out very well but you can tell I have changed from that pound photo...I was about a year in that one....maybe a little more....but all the places that were still pink on my face are covered over in my beautiful brown coat and my nose has gotten pretty dark too...darker this summer...I guess doggies get tan noses too in summer...but I don't think it will change back...Mom says she is curious to see if it will get lighter in the winter...She is such a crack up....The mess you see behind me there is after I had turned over a box of stuff mom was throwing away....I thought it was great fun to take it apart and shake each thing...She..not so much.

AAAAacck

Mom has been trying to add some new pictures to my page....But she is not having very good luck .....We don't know why....the pics are in the correct format not too big....but they don't come up...I guess Mom will just have to study it out....But there are a couple of cute ones she wants to put up...That's what she said..."cute" She keeps saying that...Gotta love her.....heh heh.....Oh, The other day I got loose from my run and Mom had to come get me...I had a great time while it lasted ....I chased the birds and watered the grass...I ran away from some lady that tried to catch me...but I guess she was only trying to help Mom.
I did go when mom called me....and she was really happy to get me back on leash....I just got very excited and didn't realize how far I had gone....Mom said if I want to see SIX I better not do that again....But then she laughed...She's pretty funny my mom :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

My birthday is this month..Mom's not sure which day...but Dogster has chosen the fifteenth.......I had a great day....Lots and lots of hugs and kisses....really good treats...Mom gave me a little piece of her steak and
I had doggie ice cream....That stuff is really good...but not as good as people ice cream...I really did enjoy it though and I know Mom is taking
good care of me....

I have a couple of new stars on my page...so thanks to you who have put them up.....I really love presents :)

Back to normal

I am very happy it is back to normal temperatures . After having had a
few days of verrrrrrrry hot humid weather. Mom was like a wet dish rag...(that's what she said) and we just stayed inside in the AC. Today is
very comfortable and the humidity is better too.....There have been really bad weather conditions too and flooding and tornadoes...and it isn't even summer yet...I really want to go out today....It is a great day to go to the park.....and I have been wanting a dog bone ice cream sandwich....they have.... the where Mom gets her soft ice cream and she lets me have one of those....YUM! I wonder where she is.....I have to go and find her....We don't want to wait too long...or it will be too late.......Too close to dinner.........More later....Woof,yummy....Star

Back to normal

I am a party doggie!!

Turns out I was invited to the picnic....So much fun...Lots of neat people
that I adn't met yet...Lots of people food YUMMY! Mom let me have it for my dinner...and I was a very happy pup...I was a very good girl...I was very
gentle with the kids and the kitty liked me....but she didn't know how to play.
I tried to teach her but she ran away...and once...she pawed at me...But I moved
too quickly for her,..heh heh......I can't wait for the next picnic...I hope they have more bacon burgers :)...gonna go maybe mom has one more treat for me befor bed....Hope you all had picnics today too....:)

YAY!!

So today we went to my park....No one else was there...I guess they had
gone to holiday picnic etc...Mom felt little better but she was deter-
mined to make sure I got out today....Like I said...That's just the kind of
mom she is...She is such a good mommy...Se tries her best to give me
what I need...And she appreciates that I try to give her the time she needs
to feel better....She needs me and I need her and we help each other..
She says that one of the things she loves about dogs is that they are so
intuitve...And she says that I am exceptional at it....So we get along very
well with her physical problems....Tomorrow there is a family picnic...I
am not sure if I am invited or not....I hope so...so does Mom...Time for treats and crate for the night.

Boring!!

I am really getting bored...Mom hasn't felt well for a few days and we
have not been able to go out much....I have been able to go on my run out
back...but not to the park or for walks....Mom has a very painful condition
that I can't pronounce..But when it flares up she is pretty miserable for a
bit...I am hoping she is ok soon...I miss going outside with her..But I just
want Mom to be ok...I know she feels bad for me when she can't take me
out...That's just the kind of mom she is....GET WELL SOON MOM.

Mother's Day!

Mom and I had a nice mother's day...We walked and played outside...
Mom had some new stuff that smelled nice from one of the skin kids
and she used some of that and did what she called a pedicure on her
feet....It looked like too much work...I don't even like when she trims my
toes...But sometimes people are very strange...I love my mom though :)
The two sisters are all grown up and they weren't around this mother's day....
Mom missed them but I made it a lot better for her...She really loves me
a lot...and she enjoys spending time with me just that way I do with her.
I hope we go to the park tomorrow...I didn't get to go today.
