Sleeping with Mommy, playing with Daddy, long walkes, any food that is bad for him, playing with his sister Autumn, His Babies (mom's human babies), He is very protective.

Loud noises, cars going down the road, his family leaving, and bedtime

Favorite Toy:
his roap bones, raw hides, and real raw beef bones. I still can not get him to fetch.

Favorite Food:
I am learning he loves all food, especially the kind he should not have

Favorite Walk:
He really seems to like the bike trail through the woods. The sound of all the birds and squirrels really excite him, but he still minds his manners.

Best Tricks:
Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, Shake, Up, but lay is proving difficult (I think it is from his abusive past, it seems to scare him.)

Arrival Story:
I rescued him from a family who couldn't control him. They had him on a prong collar and an electric bark collar, he didn't have a regular collar. They were not exercising him, and they were only giving him 2 cans of Alpo wet can food a day, to say the least he is a little under weight. He is also scared of everything right now, I think his old owners must have hit him. He is a really well bvehaved dog for not having any real training. We are working through his issues, and he will be a happy well adjusted Boxer in no time.

I lost Cretos Oct 9, 2008. He jumped between my Baby and a German Shepard from across the street, and saved my babies life. Cretos and the Shepard both lost their lives from wounds they got during their fight. I will always miss and always be thankful for my dear Cretos.

Forums Motto:
I gave my life for the love of a baby.

My mom is so happy because I keep getting more and more comfortable at my furever home, and I even let mom get a few decent pictures of me today. I am a little nervous when a camera is pointing at me, and I usually refuse to look at it. I am also starting to initiate play with my new sister (Autumn), but she still wants to play more than me. I am not sure where she gets all the energy, and she is almost a year older than me. I am just a lover, and if I had my way I would be laying on my mom all the time. Mom says I am starved for attention and love, because I didn't get any where I come from, and boy do I lap it up now. Mom says I am her little shadow. I am everywhere she goes, but I am not trying to be bad. I am just afraid she'll leave or that I'll lose her, and I love her very much. I just thought I would let everyone know I am coming out of my shell a little more everyday.

Hi, I am Cretos, and I just recently became a part of my family. My mom rescued me from a family who did not treat me very well. You see she had already rescued my sister from the pound, and had just fallen in love with her which caused mom to love Boxers in general. She found out about me by a breeder who had been contacted by my old owner. My new mom called and set up a time to come and see me and get me if everything worked out. My old family did not even have a regular collar for me. I had a prong collar and an electric bark collar. The old owners said I couldn't be controlled on a lead without the prong collar and that I barked nonstop without the shock collar. My new mom was appalled, and then she found out I was only getting 2 small cans of wet dog food a day, and no dry kibble at all. She decided as soon as she saw me, I was going home with her come hell or high water. My mom does not think my old family mistreated me on purpose, because they took me to the vet, and even had me fixed. She just thinks that they did not know how to handle a Boxer, because we can be quite the rowdy dogs when we want to be. We also need a lot of exercise to not have an urge to be destructive, and we can be a bit hard headed. It was not my fault I was mistreated for just being me, and my old owners were not malicious and they did find me a good home, instead of dump me, like what happened to my sister. My mom just wishes that everyone would do a least 1 month worth of research before buying any dog to make sure that it will fit into your lifestyle. That you can mange it's exercise needs, grooming needs, food needs, vet needs, and any other needs that it may have, but especially it's training needs. That would cut down on the amount of dogs who are abandoned and put to sleep in shelters across the country every single day. Please research, and realize a pet is for life, rescue a pet and save a life.
