Getting corrected for stealing others food, vet trips, pedicures
Stuffed Squirrel, Skunk and Groundhog
Any food is acceptable, and I mean any food but she gets Beneful and dog chews & treats, She also loves birdseed and will almost knock you down to get some.
Anywhere but mainly around our house in a huge field
She stops on a dime, great retriever, knows commands in English and German, Great Swimmer was a seal in a former life
We found Brooke along with her two siblings Blue & Kelsey on April Fools day 1995. They had been dumped in a field in the middle of no where left to starve to death. We had three weeks till we closed on our new home. We saw Kelsey running along side our vehicle and immediately stopped. We then found Blue who was injured with a cracked femur and Brooke in the grass crying. It was love at first sight and we took them home and named everyone and they were ours. We had the three puppies in a two bedroom apartment for 3 weeks. They were barely weined and still had puppy milk breathe and the vet figured they were around 8 weeks old. We knew that they would be awesome dogs and we were right.
We were eventually going to get two labs but found Brooke and her siblings Blue & Kelsey instead. They are awesome dogs who behave very well. They are all trained and sweet and loving pups. They will always be the pups to us no matter how old they get.

Our dear Brooke went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning 5/17/09 at 11:22 a.m. She was having severe problems with her hips and despite Rimadyl and Tramadol (sp) she went downhill fast. Yesterday she could not walk and was in pain. I was my her side all night and it was evident that she was starting to suffer. So we had to make the hardest decision any animal lover has to and let her go. I believe she is with Blue and my Mother who both passed away in 2005. She was a dear doggie and best friend and was great with our 4 year old and 20 month old sons. She fought and beat cancer twice. I say doggie but she was like a daughter to me. We had her and Blue and Kelsey 10 years before we had kids. I remember we called her Porkchop because she would eat everyone's food. She was much more than a pet and my heart is breaking as I write this. I continue to second guess our decision because it hurts so very much but know she is whole again and no longer in any pain and is at peace. Brooke leaves behind her sister Kelsey and a family whom loves and misses her so very much!!
Brooke, you will always be loved and the God I believe in has received you in heaven.
Goodbye precious Berry-girl!!!

December 22, 2004 at 12:07 a.m. cst. Please all my pet pals say a prayer for me. I am at the Emergency Pet Clinic and am a very sick doggie. My Mom and Dad took me tonight and are very worried about me. I was vomiting blood and very dehydrated. So I just need all my Dogster pals to say some woofs for me if you would.
