Arrival Story:
Festus was on his way to the pound when I got him..he was sick and wormy. he was very cute, so I decided to adopt him.He would walk into walls and chairs..the day I got him I was concerned if he was smart enough to eat. LOL . But he looked smart, just didn't act it.

Bio:
The first 3 yrs. I had him, I was single and he was my only friend. We spent alot of time training each other. He destroyed thousands of dollars of property..motorcycle leather, furniture, walls, ect. Seperation anxiety. When I met my beautful wife, a cat person I dare say, she didn't like dogs. Festus has changed her mind.He has also done wonders with our autistic daughter..he is a very patient dog. He now knows over 20 hand signals and verbal commands. He is obedient, but strong-willed, very loving, and protective. He is very in tune with human emotions, and knows how to respond appropriately. He has half a dozen toys, you can ask for one by name, and he will go get it. He uses his paws like hands, alot. He is not a barker, but is very vocal. Everytime someone sees him, who hasn't seen him in awhile, says he looks alot smaller than they remember.I tell them thats because he is bigger than life. There is a great deal more to tell about Festus, he is just amazing! Would love to find a female for him; He has never been bred. If I had 20 pups from Festus, I wouldn't have enough to give to the people who want one like him. I have turned down offers from people who wish to buy him, and would love to train the pups. I would probably keep them all, anyway.. Ihave had dogs all my life, and my life was saved 3 different times, because of them. .literally. And Festus is one of those 3. I think everyone should have a Festus in their lives.
