Arrival Story:
A friend of mine has a dog rescue, and she thought Skippy would be a good fit with my other pup, Maggi. She was SO right! After I got Maggi, and then adopted my daughter, I felt like Maggi needed a friend (besides Mama) to play with! Skippy and Maggi are the best of friends, and he loves the baby!! He is truly a wonderful dog and I can see how they say that dogs are (wo)man's best friends!!!

Over the past few months, Skippy has become more of a Mama's-boy. He revels in my attention and likes to make sure he is going to get it when Maggi wants to play with me. He also is protective of me. He does love Maggi and plays with her all the time. He lets Lil M put blankets on him and pat his back. :)

He even lets Scott take him outside, much better than before.

He's a very smart dog, with a soft, precious heart.

When Skippy came to live with us, he was very timid. He still has a tough time with men, and new people, especially. But my friend Scott came over Sunday with his Bench Setter (english setter), and Skippy SHOCKED me!! He not only ate and drank out of the same bowls as Maggi (as usual) and B'lu (this was shocking), but he also didn't run away from Scott!!!

WOOOHOOOOO!!!

That's my boy! He loves Maggi, me and the baby. But it takes him time to warm up to others. This was a huge step in the right direction!!!

Peace.
