I was so happy the day my new Mommy picked me out of all my brothers and sisters. She took me home and bought me a new bed, a new sweater and lot's of goodies. We had so much fun getting to know each other. We played and explored the neighborhood. I don't know why but I was always tired and wanted to sleep. When I was almost 2 years old, my Mommy took me to the Vet to see why I was so sick and tired all the time. He said I had a genitic lever disease called protosystemic shunt. I was scheduled for suregery that week to repair the problem. My Mommy drove everyday 45 minutes to see me and on the fourth day I got to go home. I was so happy but I still felt bad. The next several days I strated to get really sick again, had a really bad fever and went back to my Vet. He said that my incision into my intestines was leaking and I had a bad infection. He scheduled my second surgery that next day. After 3 days in the hospital, the girl who was taking care of me at the Hospital, thought that I was cold and turned on my cages heater. For some reason, she forgot about me for 6 hours and my little heart couldn't take it anymore and I had a cardiac arrest. My Mommy couldn't come and see me because the was a big fire in and all around San Diego. Most of the freeways were closed. The Doctor on call, recessitated me and I had another arrest. I would never see my Mommy again. I'm not mad at the doctor, he tried to save me. I'm just sad that my Mommy had to be so sad too that we wouldn't get to play together anymore. She was mad though and sued that Hospital. They did pay her but I knew it wouldn't make her happy. Now I am waiting for her to come to the Rainbow Bridge so we can be together again.
Love,
