Growing up...

So. This is my first edd-try and I reckon' there's a lot folks don't know about me.

I'm about four months old now and am living happily with my dad, mom, and boy in Evanston, IL. I also share space with a cat, a guinea pig, a dwarf hamster, and two fish. My family is a little looney.

I've given them plenty to worry about, too! Ever since I came home I've been battling pneumonia. At one point, I was so sick I had to stay in the puppy ICU at Purdue University for a week. Man, that sucked. But I got to know some nice humans there. I'm feeling much, much better now...but every once in while they take a picture of my insides and some of my lungs still show up white...which means I need to keep taking my medicine.

My kind of pneumonia is called aspiration pneumonia...which means I inhaled some bacterial soup from my esophagus into my lungs which made me sick. Oops. For a while, they thought I had something called megaesophagus, but the pictures of my insides don't look like that anymore. Now they're not quite sure why I regurgitate sometimes...in a couple weeks I'm going to go and get some even more fancy pictures of my insides taken to see if we can figure it out.

In the meantime, my mom and dad are feeding me these great puppy food meatballs five times a day. I have to stand up to eat and have to keep standing for 10 minutes or so after I eat. The meatballs are fantastically yummy, though, so I don't mind that much.

I like where I live because there are many, many dogs. Some of them are old farts and don't like to play with me too much..but I've made some fantastic friends. I really love to just trot around my neighborhood and see if I can hook up with Mystery or Cassie...

Get this: I lost my first two puppy teeth the other day. What's the whole puppy tooth fairy protocol, anyway?

Yawn. Time for a nap.
