Arrival Story: I went to inquire about adopting another senior beagle with SBR and they told me Hank had found a home but they had another senior that was just pulled from the shelter as an OTI (owner turn in) and was in a foster home for about a day and had to be returned because he was peeing every 10 minutes. They had him boarding at the vets but were afraid they would have to put him down if they couldn't find a family or a foster for him. I thought about long and hard for about 2 seconds and said sure why not - BOL. He's been here for 5 days and has had one accident in the house and no problems with holding it. I got his turn in sheet from his former family who he lived with all his 11 years. He lived outside mainly on a chain. They answered no to do you trust your dog indoors alone - not sure why, he's been perfect. They said he chewed on everything - doesn't do it here. Said he's not housebroken - yes he is. They said he barks excessively and digs. Well, I don't have that problem but again, he is a valued, inside member of this family. Winston is absolutely the most perfect dog and all I can say is their loss, my gain.
