Riding in the car, going to grandma's, getting his butt scratched, wrestling on the floor with Dad, chasing the cat.

Not being able to go for a ride, not getting attention when he wants it, the vacuum cleaner, cigarettes and lighters.

Favorite Toy:
It used to be Shadow, (the one in the picture) but he is no longer with us, so now it would have to be his rawhide bones.

Favorite Food:
milk, waffles, ham bones, pretty much any "people" food

Favorite Walk:
around the backyard, and to grandma's house

Best Tricks:
sit, beg, stay, lay down, shake, high 5, and taking food out of mommy & daddy's mouths

Arrival Story:
We found him at the humane society, and the moment we saw him we fell in love with him. We just had to take him home, since he had been stuck there for 8 months!

Everyone that has ever met him calls him a gentle giant, which he truly is. He is always happy, loves attention, and absolutely loves people.

More Puppies!

Well, Max has been with us for a while. He used to annoy me because he wouldn't stop jumping on me. He has stopped, so now I don't mind him as much, I just ignore him. But, now there are two more puppies that I have to deal with. Their names are Maggie and Misty. Sure, they're cute, but they never stop barking! But, atleast they don't jump on me. I really don't like it when puppies jump on me. I growl at them, but it doesn't seem to phase them. I think Jim (the puppies' owner) gets scared that I am going to bite them, but everyone knows I wouldn't hurt a fly. After all, that's why they call me a Gentle Giant.

I had gotten used to the fence in the yard, and I was actually enjoying it because Mommy and Daddy would let me stay out there by myself for a while. But, now the puppies are always outside, so I hardly ever get to go in there. I don't know why, I wouldn't hurt them or anything.

Mommy and Daddy got a new bed over the weekend. I'm glad, because the old one was really wavy, and sometimes it would make me too hot when I was sleeping on it. This one is nice. When I jump on and off it, it doesn't move all around on me. It just stays there.

Boy, I can't wait until spring gets here. I love to go for rides, and I haven't gotten to go on many lately. Mommy and Daddy keep talking about some "swimming" thing. I don't know what it is, but it sounds fun!

That's all for now.

The New Puppy

Well, the new puppy came a while ago. I think his name is Max, but he is weird. I try to do my business and he is right there wanting to play. Oh, and they put up a fence in my yard!! I really don't like it because it makes me feel like I am back at that horrible place with all those other dogs. I am afraid that one day mommy and daddy are going to leave me out there all by myself.

I learned two new tricks the other day - "lay down" and "shake". Mommy was giving me popcorn when I did it right - yummy! Mommy and daddy were so happy that I learned them... I don't see what the big deal is, I just didn't feel like learning them before.

Christmas is almost here. Mommy has the house all decorated and we have a tree with lights and things on it. But, I don't see anything under there for me yet. I think they are trying to surprise me.

A New Friend

Not much has been going on lately. Mommy and Daddy say that my new friend is coming this weekend. I can't wait. Finally, someone to play with again! I miss running around the yard with Shadow. Mommy says she thinks I am getting a little extra meat on my bones. She hopes that getting more exercise with the new puppy will help. Oh yeah, a little while ago, I pulled garland down off of the door and decided to eat it - the WHOLE thing! I'm not sure what I was thinking at the time, because it definately did NOT taste good coming back up. I think I have learned my lesson on that one.
