Arrival Story: A friend recommended looking for a new chi to bring in some happiness and I couldn't believe how i didn't think of it. I had time and love so I casually started my search. I consulted a behaviorist for Magpie and she said I needed to adopt a boy with good manners towards other dogs. Well I had a few favs on petfinder and I inquired about Milo and Jack's Angels met me with him the same day! Well it was love at first sight for me and my husband and we adopted him 4/5/08. I didn't expect to find a pup so soon but now that he is here he is like sunshine in a dark room. He stole my heart.
Bio: Milo is a dog's dog. He seems to get excited about everything and is always wagging his tail. He was in rescue two years and I'm still in disbelief no one snatched him up, lucky for us. He is very well-mannered with all the dogs and people he comes across (well except cyclists make him BARK BARK when they zoom by). Milo also barks to get your attention or to let you know he wasn't ready for you to stop petting him ;-) . Milo is so sweet with Magpie except sometimes he wants to play so he will play bow with a toy in front of her and it's heartbreaking because she stands there looking eager and attentive (she can hear him jumping and I know she wants to play too) but she can't see him so they really can't play without me to help guide her to a toy. They do sunbathe and nap together.

Today I had a bath and it's only been 3 weeks since my last bath. I think things are getting carried away with this clean business. The day started out so well too, I woke up early and I went kayaking. I even saw turtles and swans. It was so beautiful to feel the sunrise and hear the birds chirping, we were the only kayak on the water. I jumped in half way to chase a turtle but mom put me back in the boat before I got to it (darn that life jacket handle). Well as soon as we got back to the dock I ran straight to dry myself off on the dusty pathway (it felt so good). I even managed to turn myself blonde, what an achievement! Unfortunately, now I stink like lavender.
Yes pups, Birds are sooooo June '08. I used to chase them with tunnel vision focus and now I just somewhat chase them because I need to conserve my energy for the squirrels. What are they up to? What do they smell like? Can I lick them?
