Arrival Story:
I remember it just like it were yesterday.I was 12 at the time and I recall how envious I was of kids in movies where they had dogs. Like lassie or homewardbound. And how I wanted to have one of my own. It was January of 1995. was gonna graduate from elementary school in a couple of months. I told my mom I wanted a dog as a gift for graduation. we went to megamall, which is like one of the largest if not the largest mall in the world. What I was really looking for was a mini pinscher. To my disappoinment there were no pinschers in the petshop, But as I looked at the dogs that were. There was one in particular that had gotten my attention. It was a cute brown lil pup, that looked like a mini pinscher only that it's tail wasn't cut off. It kept on romping with the other dogs. and I wasn't that knowledgable about canines so I asked the attendant " Is that a mini pinscher?" she told me"It's a cross breed. A terrier-pinscher." It was so adorable, that I had forgotten I was looking for a pure bred miniature pinscher. I told the lady that I'd take it in a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks later, I bought a kennel, some toys,a collar, and brought Ginger home with me.

Bio:
I never looked at Ginger as just a dog. We loved her like a true family member. She kept us safe from intruders. Nobody could break in to our house because of her. She was a smart dog. You could never fool her. And boy was she strong. I remember all those times I took her out for a walk. Not only was she fast but she could really pull me. She ate mostly what we ate. It was funny the way she chomped down and bolted her food. and how bits of rice would stick in her nose. ha ha. I remember the times when I'd be left home alone when my family would go some place. and how I'd pull a seat outside and watch the sun go down and how she'd scratch the door and ask me to let her out so that she could sit next to me and I'd pat her head and feel so relaxed, and at peace. My aunt took care of ginger alot. Ginger couldn't spend a second away from my aunt. She'd follow her all over the house. When she did chores, cooked dinner, watched TV,Ginger was always there. For over the past ten years,Ginger was always there to greet us when we got home. No matter how bad a day it was, running my hands through her head made everything better. She passed on June 20th,2005,finally giving in to cancer. And as I write this I weep for her,who I loved dearly. But the memories will never die. I will forever miss Ginger. I couldn't possibly forget her. Rest in peace my dear friend. We love you.
