Arrival Story:
Gus the cat is 20lbs and very jealous of most other cats but fine with dogs. So in an attempt to find him a companion to play with and perhaps shed that extra poundage, my roommate and I decided to get a dog from the SPCA. None of the older dogs were a good fit, but they had some very sweet puppies we thought might work out with Gus. We instantly noticed Otis, played with him, etc., but were still a little hesitant about getting a puppy. We put him back and thought about it, then asked what his name was (so we could ask for him later). It turned out to be none other than Otis - the name I had already planned on giving my new dog! So I decided it was meant to be and took the plunge into puppy-land! UPDATE: 5 years later, Otis is just as great as ever. He and Gus are great friends, and we've recently added another boy to the bunch - a little westie named Barney. They're our motley crew!

Bio:
Otis is a sweet, smart, fun guy. Very much the border collie, he'll herd anything in sight. He looks up to his big brother Gus, but even that can't help Otis resist the urge to go after him, as well. Gus takes it in stride, but as an act of revenge he corrupts Otis' young, impressionable mind with misguided explanations of the ways of the world. And in his attempt to be like his big brother, Otis acts like a cat in many ways. Well, a cat who acts like a dog...
