Shots for Sugar

Sugar got some of her annual shots today. Her parvo vaccination and a corona shot. She also had her heart worm test. She did a good job today. My vet has been taking care of our family's dogs for a long time. He knew she was going to be a screamer for the shots and also that she'd kick her hind leg when he gave her the shot.

He said she was allergic to grass, and gave her medicine to help her not chew her nails. I hope it works, cause she chews them and I have scratches all over because they get really snaggly. lol. She had a big day. She got home, after a quick trip to my brother's house, and the grocery story, and took a nap. She is a little sore from the blood being drawn and the shot. I felt so bad for her when she yiped. We went to my brother's for a family movie/dinner night earlier and left her here in her cage. So, she got a lot of rest. AWWWW. Ever since we got home about 2 hrs ago she's been napping and yiped a couple times when i picked her up. But, she must feel better now, since she just "illegally" jumped off the bed. Well, off to see where she ran off to!

busy day

Rowl. what a busy day. mom actually got to sleep in today until 8 am. She's been getting up way to early for me this week. It's not fit for man or beast at 6:30 am. Her cell phone alarm - a jonas brother's song - alerts me to getting up time. Today was a little different. She got up, left me for a few hours, and to my surprise she came back! She also brought french fries from Arby's. She did give me a bit of one of them, but I could have ate them all. After she ate her food, we took a nap on the bed until the I heard this ringing noise. but different than the jonas brothers. She spoke to someone for a couple mins and then put her head back down for a minute or too. Then that darn cell phone alarm went off again. She took her time getting up and got dressed. Then she looked at the time and she must have realized something cause she rushed out and left me. She didn't come home until 5:30. I was super happy to see her! She ate dinner with grandma and grandpa and then I'll be darned that she didn't leave me again for about an hour. I just plopped down on the bed and snoozed while she was gone. When she came home there was dark stuff in the sky and water fell from these weird looking things in the sky. There was this very loud noise outside the window and everyone seemed really tense. The next thing I new was she she picked me up, grabbed her phone, some bag she carries around a lot, and a blanket and ran downstairs. I didn't know what was going on, but everyone seemed a little worried. I heard some loud noises and they were paying a lot of attention to the tv and using the cell phones a lot. I was just happy to be downstairs and able to run around and do tricks for treats. After a while we packed up and came back to our room and resumed normal stuff.

a trip = nap

mom took me for a trip today. we went to see aunt terry, her husband and her step kids at their new apartment. it was a different one from the one i saw last month. i was greeted by smiling faces and pets as i arrived. then i got to explore the place and boy did i find it interesting. The windows are just right for me to look out of. i had food and water, but then had an accident in the kitchen. all the humans weren't paying attention to me and i had to go! i watched aunt terry's husband mop up the floor from the safety of mom's arms. i had a pretty busy day and now i'm pooped out!

I look pretty

This morning mom got up early again, but this time she took me with her! I knew something was up when she put my collar on and took me to her car. She drove in town and took me to a place that seemed familiar to me. Then I remembered. It was the grooming place she took me to last spring. She talked to a blonde woman and then I was put in a cage. Mommy left me there. I wasn't too happy about that. I growled and dug at the cage. I wanted my mommy, but I knew she had to go make some money at work. I was scared for a little while. Then the nice blonde woman took me out, washed me, clipped me and made me fell really good. I went back into the cage for a while and then I heard mommy's voice out front. She soon came back and got me. She played a trick on me, she peeked around the corner at me and smiled. She took me out front where I played with another dog and a fluffy cat. I was so glad to see mommy! I know she thought I looked cute. Who wouldn't think I was cute with my little purple bow and green bandana around my neck. I was cute! From there she went to a big building and got something. Next we went to a food place, where I saw my uncle Van. Then after that, we went to the doggie place. I thought she was gonna leave me again, but we just got some medicine for me. That was a relief. Then we came home and took a nap together for the rest of the afternoon.

Dog Park WOoof

Boy what a big day today. I'm beat! Mom, grams, gramps and uncle lahny took me to the dog park. Met some interesting dogs. One was kinda mean at first but she warmed up but was still mean to some of the other dogs. I sniffed around her and the others for a while and then I took off on my own. Rhonda ran with me a little bit back and forth. Some little girl kept running back and fourth from large dog to little dog area. it was sorta annoying. Mom took some pics of me running around. After we left the dog park, we went to the pet store to get me a new bowl. I got a treat from a nice lady there.

When we came home, mom put me out front in the yard and let me run around while she did yard work. I had fun trying to eat all the little flowers. She wouldn't let me chew them though. I did manage to get a piece of some purple flower that smelled great, she called them lilacs. I rolled around in the grass for a long time. Of course, when we came in I had to take medicine for my grass allergy. I didn't like that very much, but I got to roll around in the grass!!! wooof. I'm all tuckered out now, I think a nap in store.

its hott

its been hot the last couple days. Mommy dunked me a couple times in the pool out back. It felt good, but wow kinda freaks me out. Afterwards I rolled around in the grass and ended up getting all muddy. I also tried to dig another hole and got my face all dirty. She took pictures of me. Her and that camera. wol

mommy is hurt?

mommy has been hurting the last couple days. she has some weird thing on her paw. she can't move it a lot and shes taking medicine, and sleeping a lot. ive been real rowdy and been told to hush. so ive been curling up to mommy a lot the last couple of days. i hope mommy gets better soon. ok well time to check on her and look out the window

lots of stuff!

Since mommy's been off from work she's spent a lot of time with me. She has to leave me sometimes though to go help her get better. She naps with me during the day and I really enjoy it. Mommy seems to getting better. She took me outside today and let me play around in the back yard while she enjoyed the sun and blue skies. I got a little rowdy though and she put me in my crate. I took a nap and kept a close eye on her. I don't like for her to be out of my sight at all. I need and want my mommy with me always. I'm tuckered out, I think I'll go snooze!

vet visit

Mom had to take me to the vet today. I've been licking and chewing my feet more than normal. So, it got me a trip to the vet. I was good for mom though. She gave me a treat after it was all done. I got a shot and I have pills to take starting tomorrow, to help me stop chewing and licking my paws. I itch and I gotta relieve it! But maybe this will make me stop itching. Why do I have to be allergic to grass :(

I love grass! I love running at the dog park and rolling around in it! Stupid allergy. But, I'm home now, resting with mom. Mom came home early yesterday and surprised me. I guess mom didn't feel well and came home and slept with me. I Liked that a lot :)

2 yrs old today!

Mom give me lots of treats today! She had a big red wrapped gift for me before she went to work. She put treats all around it and I got to tear open the paper. She got me a huge snowman toy that squeaks and a bone squeaky toy. I think she has more toys and stuff hidden though. She's holding out on me. I got up in a chair the other day and saw a bag with paw prints on it and I just know I smelled treats there too! But, I have new toys so I'm happy! I've been with mommy 2 yrs now, or close to it. My mommy is good to me.

woofwoof was in the snow today!

haha i got mommy out in the snow today. She hates snow, but one little look and a little jumping and she took me outside! She put two coats on me and took me out. oh woof, there were tons of snow out there that i had to hop a lot rather than just walk!

She tried to clean off her car.. while i was checking out under the car. when she was done i made her go out in the street but she wouldn't walk far. i was trying to catch the snow but i wasn't very successful.

we went in and a few hours later i duped her into taking me again. she went out back with grandpa to make the tv work again, and i threw a little hissy fit, full with barking and threatening to go down the stairs, which i know i'm not allowed to do. It worked. she came and got me and i went outside again! sucker!

only bad thing about snow.. is that i get little (or big in a lot of cases) snow balls that attach themselves to my paws (front and back) mommy tried to get them off and i try to bite her.. she gets upset at me. I kow she's trying to help.. but it hurts! besides i want to eat them off. lol

well, its been a long day and it's time for me to zonk out. It was fun having mommy home again today. I know she doesnt like work, and i enjoy having her home.. but she says she needs a job to buy me doggie food.. so.. i guess i have to deal. lol

digging and other stuff

I bet mom wonders why I scratch the bed or digg holes. I'll never tell! wooof wooof woof!

mom got me some new dog food today. She said she got it from that cooking lady, Rachel Ray. She got what mommy called a "sample" in the mail. It was all sorts of yummy! It's bigger pieces than I'm used to but it was yummy!

I was home alone the most of the day so I've got all sorts of energy tonight. i think i'll go back to scratching the bed covers now.. *evil bark*

doggie friends

mommy took me a walk today. I ran around and barked a lot. I even got to see my friend Sadie, who just moved in our back yard for a bit until my uncle van can get a new place to live. So, sadie is in my back yard now. She's pretty big. She scared me a little, but mommy had me. Mommy had to hold sadie down while she had me in her other hand. I got pretty jealous when sadie jumped up on mommy. she got mom all dirty on the arm. my friend sadie has to be outside, cause shes so big. gramps and mommy went out and put some leaves down here she's tied out at. my uncle van hasnt got her house moved yet i guess. so sadie is getting real dirty out there. my other uncle keeps talking about sadie. and making things hectic around here cause he wont shut up about her occasional barking. uncle L doesnt like ANY noises, ever. He spazs over the slightest of noises. then he makes life in the house stressfull for mommy and gram/gramps. we are just helping out sadie and my uncle van, but he's inconvienced by it... uggh.. some humans ... well im off to beddy bye.. mommy's got work tomorrow.

mom is planning something

ok i think mom and gram is going somewhere soon without me. :(
they have been packing bags and doing different things. i hate when mommy leaves, even for work. i'll miss her.

yay mommy's home

ok mom was gone for like 11 days! i thought she left me for good. i had grampa and uncel lahny to play with me and also my aunt and her step kids too, but mommy left and so did gramma! i thought she was never coming back. i did hear her voice though a few times when gramps put this odd looking thing up to me. he was communicating with her somehow. i was so glad to see mommy. gramps put me in my little carrying case and took me to see her and i've been her shadow ever since. i love my mommy.
