My Fun Day At The Park

I had one of the funnest weekends ever! It started Friday night wif a sleep-over at my K’s house. We stayed up real late and watched TV, and then we slept in real late the next morning. I did have to wake everyone in the house up twice (one at 2:30am and once at 6:30am) to “take care of business”, but then I went right back to sleep. The rest of the time me and K were snugglin’ and snoozin’ away on the couch togever! I wuv sleepin’ in the bend of her knees or in the bend of her lap. I even stole her comfy spot on the couch! See, when I sleeps over, she gets all her bedding and puts it on the couch all nice and comfy. So this time after she fixed everyfing up and turned around to get “in couch”, there I was, snug as a bug in her covers…hehe! K kindly took up refuge on the other couch as not to disturb me. But she stole her spot back after one of my “business breaks”. No matters, because I still snuggle right back on the comfy couch wif my K :-)

We had a nice leisurely Saturday full of playing wif ice in her yard and going for walks and eating snacks. That night I had to go home to sleep wif mommy & daddy. On Sunday I spent anofver afternoon wif K and guess where we went??? To the park! Now usually I hate the park and am really scareds of the park, but this time they tricked me! We went to the park in the car (I love the riding in the car), and K carried me into the middle of the park. I did a nice poop in the grass and then started sniffin’ all around and markin’ up all the trees. The park wasn’t so scary that day for some reason!

I even did somefing else that I don’t usually like to do. I met ofver doggie…and I was really good about it too! Not long after we got in the park I sniffed a little Yorkie girl who came over to us. Her name was Leila (Lili) and she was 8 months old and weighed as much as I did! She was bigger than me and wanted to play but I just sniffed her and watched her act silly. I didn’t growl or nuffin, just looked at her like she was nutty because she didn’t ever keep still. She was a cutie - but not a cute as my Harrod! Me and Lili walked around some and then we saw a bunch of small doggies in the middle of the park. I was feeling brave so I walked over there to see the doggie. K was so proud that I didn’t walk the ofver way. Then out of no where comes a beautiful little Boston terrier girl names Kira. She ran right up to me and sniffed me in the face and I didn’t say nuffin! She smelled awful good so we were sniffin up a storm. She did have a brother that was walkin around, but I stayed away from him because I am not to keen on boy doggies. In the mix, there was another small fluffy mix who I had a little growl off wif, but it turns out he was a boy and that is what I got my growl on when he looked at me. Other than that I stayed near the doggies, and watched them run around, and gave Kira nice sniffs in her face every time she ran up to me, and sat next to Lili, and sniffied ever tree…I really had fun! We said bye bye to Kira and LiLi after a while and walked around some more. As we were leaving I saw a tiny little fluffy puppy and I went right up to her and sniffed her too. She was a MalteseYorkie mix, and she was so tiny! We sniffed and just looked at each other because neither of us knew what to do wif the other. After a bit of sniffin we said bye bye to her too and headed home.

K was sooooo proud of me, and of how good I was wif the ofver doggies that she kept giving me ear rubs and kisses! I even got some yummy doggie ice cream for a treat when we got home. I thought, this day couldn’t get any better, but it did! K opened the back door so that I could go in and out and play wif ice in the yarf for the rest of the afternoon. She sat out there wif me and threw piece for me to catch, and she let me drop cold pieces on her feets, and she even got me new ice every time I went in and started staring at the freezer. I really had a ball yesterday, K might have even had more fun than I did!

Well, you know what’s coming now right??? A poopy end to my wuffderful day! Guess what that K went and did to me??? You guessed it…a BATH! And after I was just admiring how good I smelled after being in the park and kicking up new dirt onto me too. I was extra bratty, but she still managed to give me a good scrubbing from ears to nubby tail, but she did give me treats when she was drying me wif the towel and wif that loud dryer fingy. I also did get a very good puppy massage so maybe I shouldn’t complain?!

After my bath I was soooo pooped out that I made myself comfy on K’s couch and snoozed for a good 2 hours before it was time for me to go back home. Every once in a while K would come and give me a belly rub, and that was totally pawsome! Sleepy belly rubs are the best!

I hope next weekend is as nice and sunny as this one was because I can’t wait to have anofver fun weekend wif my K!
