Arrival Story:
We have been thinking about adding to our family for several months, and we knew we needed a younger, spayed female Staffie to go with our boy Teddy. We also KNEW we would rescue. After checking for adoptable Dogster dogs in our area (there were none at the time), we checked petfinder.com, and we saw Kendi on the page for our local animal control. She was going to be made available on 1 April.
On April 1st during our lunch break we went down to the animal control, and there she was in the very first dog run sitting between the front legs of another dog. We fell in love on the spot and decided to add her to our family.
She came home on Thursday, 3 April.
Bio:
Kendi is still learning her name. She is doing really well with sitting and exceptionally well with the potty training. She is a little exhuberant when she and Ted start to play, but the two of them are working that out with supervision. She is following Ted's lead in the back yard and enjoys running and laying in the grass. She doesn't bark yet, but I hope she will soon.
