Loooooonnnnngggg weekend!

I can't wait to get this weekend started! Mom's going to Petsmart today to find some new toys that are doggie friendly for the pool. She's going to buy this doggie cookbook she's been eyeing so we can have special treats for the holiday weekend too! Of course, I'm still getting my steak but my fursis can't have any cuz it's too rich. So she's just gonna have peppers and carrots with and maybe a little wet food. It's only 7:30AM here but I"m ready to GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!

I DON'T have a screw loose!!!

I'm sooooo exwited!!! Momma took me to the doc today and I had exrays!!! It seems to be a piece of bone that's grown funny but it's not hurting me and it doesn't need to be removed. Also, the plate can stay in my leg because it gives me added strength! Doc says I'm the healthiest dobie he's seen in a long time, verrrry muscular! Maybe I should try out for Mr. Doglympian! BOL! Anyway, my leg healed perfectly and that means no more surgeries...at least for now. Anyway, gonna try again to hang out with Lola....she's still afraid of me so I'm taking things real slow. Mom says I'm irresistable so she'll come around!

My gimpy leg.....

My poor mom is freaking out because I have a screw loose! Literally....I have a screw loose in my leg. When I was hit by a car a year ago, they put a plate in my leg to support my leg. They told my mom and dad that it could stay in forever, but sometimes the screws work themselves loose. I guess they did and now I have this screw poking out my leg. Not through the skin but you can see it and feel it. It doesn't hurt though because I run around the yard like crazy all the time. Mom says I have to go to the vet to have it looked at, something about x-rays. Mom still says that she's going to find that drunk driver and hit HER with a car. True I shouldn't have snuck out of the house when dad was trying to take out the garbage, but she ran off the road into MY yard and hit me! I was minding my own business! Lucky it wasn't my human brother, he was standing closer to the house but she could've hit him! I would've BIT her! Anyway, I go next week to see the doc and he's a good guy. He'll fix me up.

New Addition....

My mom informed me that I have a new sister and I can't wait to meet her! She's afraid of big guys like me so mom says we have to take it slow. I met her today but only briefly. She seems really nice and she's sooo cute but when she sees me she starts shaking. I think we'll get along once she realizes that I'm not such a bad guy....

Dog days of summer?

It is soooooo hot out today! Mom's letting me swim around the pool as long as I want, then I get to dry off, have my bath and sleep the rest of the afternoon away. I intend to lay by the couch (I'm not allowed on it.....yet), and watch TV with Mom and Dad. My sister (human) is bugging me to stay in the pool but I'm beat. Three hours is long enough! The good thing is that it's sunny and not storming like it usually does in the afternoon. Oh well, gotta go!

April 6th

Today, I went in the pool with my sister. She's trying to teach me to swim in the deep end! YUK! It's pretty relaxing though because she holds me and I just kind of float. Once my swim is over, I go directly to my warm bed and dry off. I'm seriously ready for a nap! Well, it's about to storm so I'm going to log off for now.
