Arrival Story:
I went to the CACC in New York, which is a kill shelter, in search of a dog of my own. As soon as I heard the barking and saw the faces of all those angels I began to cry. I knew that most of them would not make it out of there alive. I looked up, and sitting in the back of the cage was the sweetest face I had ever seen. A tiny papillon, with scared eyes and gigantic ears was staring back at me! An employee came over and said,"Come with me miss and I'll show you how to get your dog". He knew it was love at first sight! I put my name at the top of a list and I'm glad I did, because right after that a few other people came by inquiring about the little papillon. I waited nervously as they brought him to me. The first thing he did was lick my nose and hang on to me for dear life. I knew that I would never let him go, and I haven't.
