Clean bill of health but gained weight....wow

Well its been 2 weeks and yesterday I went back for my recheck at the vets , thank goodness he said all clear and I got a clean bill of health. But guess what I gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks now I weigh 147.60, mommy does not overfeed me and I never get table scrapes, the vet said I was fine he said if I don't even out on my weight soon mommy might want to consider a thyroid test since she seems concerned, but he said not to worry to much about it now cause we do grow fast in our first couple of years. Mom says it is time for a walk can't miss out on that one! Talk to you later.

The vet again......gross

Went to the vet again cause I have "diaper rash", last time I went to the groomers she did not shave my man area and the vet said with the heat and all it caused my rash, so they shaved my area and gave me steriods, antibiotics , benedryl and a special medicated shampoo mommy has to use on my man area a couple times a week for 2 weeks and I hate it (I am not a big fan of water anyway). He said other than my rash I am in great shape, I weigh 145 pounds and now I am 15 months old, vet said still got some growing to do. Mommy is up in arms cause now I weigh more than her..guess she will just have to deal with it. I may weigh more than her but she is still the top dog and no matter how big I get I think she always will be. Gotta go now time for a nap that bathing just wore me out!

Well I AM A Year Old

Well I turned a year old and guess what I got for my birthday, a visit to the vet for my 1 year checkup and then to the groomers(I go there every month....yee haa) Well I checked out fine at the docs, they say I am a big beauty ( I weighed 132.8 pounds), they say I look just wonderful and I still have a bit of growing to do. Then at the groomers they put smelly stuff on me...I smelled like a cherry blossom dag gone give me a braek I am not a girl. Life is great, I am loving the cold weather and the mud!

I went to the vet again for a second opinion

Mommy took me to the vet again yesterday, she said I was limping worse on my leg. They took 8 xrays ( 4 views) 4 of my good leg and 4 of my limping leg, 2 vets looked at the xrays cause nothing was showing up except for what they called "thumbprints" which they said are what causes growing pains and said my bones have not completely fused , but they said since I was only 6 months old that was normal. They said I was growing to fast, I weighed 77 pounds on Saturday and when she took me yesterday I weighed 80 pounds, thats 3 pounds in 4 days, guess thats to quick. They put me on pain meds and steroids, they told mommy to keep me immobile for a few days..Ha Ha, I just don't want to be still, but mommy is trying her hardest. They said my food was fine and that I am not fat just growing to fast, what next but a rock on my head to slow my growing down. Guess it's just something we will have to deal with, but mommy hates to see me in pain.

GEEZ AM I CLUMSY

Well I almost did it again, I was out romping in the tall grass in the field and pulled a muscle in my left front leg. Daddy took me to the vet and he was thanking his lucky stars it was not broken.(been there done that...lol).The vet said leg injuries were fairly common in Pyr,Newf, and St. Bernard puppies cause we are so big and awkward but love to play and romp around like all other puppies. He gave me some pain med. and said if it wasn't any better in 7- 10 days bring me back, he also said to keep me quite LOL!!!!!!.Mom & Dad are finding it very hard to keep me "quite" I am playing just as hard as ever (until I get caught) then I just limp around the rest of the time. Everyone at the vet was making over me and I now weigh 77.2 pounds. other than my bum leg they said I was in excellent health and that I am a very handsome guy(I already knew that).

I was chosen

Mommy entered one of my puppy pictures in the Purina Dog Chow contest and I was chosen to appear on times square on June 19,2008.You can see my photo above..pretty cool , don't you think.
