Today I went with my mommas to go vote and rally support for the donkey race! Momma even got me a special bandana to wear with a donkey on it! I'm not sure what the donkeys were voting for but mom said I did good greeting the voters. Mom is happy about it; she said her favorite donkeys did well. Next time, I want to run for something. I love running!

So mommy showed us what she was hiding in the bathroom!!! It was a little yip-yappy dog! Mom said it just walked into the building she works in. Man it was stinky and looked sickly but she took it to the vet and now she is looking much better. We are calling her Rizzo after the muppets character because she came to us looking like a drowned rat. Mom said she is a purebred Yorkie. This weekend she is giving Rizzo to her grandma for mother's day. That's fine with me, all it does is sleep and bark, and when I try to play with her she bites!
We spent the weekend with Aunt Beez and they gave me ANOTHER BATH. Mom needs to talk to them about this. Every time I go, they give me a bath. I don't understand it. Then I have to go roll in the muddy ditch water again to get the flowery smell off me!
Last week there was a big party at Petsmart and only one momma was off work, so she took the three of us (Me, Dora, and Rizzo) by herself. She says never again! I don't know why, I was perfectly well behaved, I greeted everyone there (I didnt even jump up) and perform all the tricks I knew for them. If they had treats, I followed them around to do tricks! And I met lots of dogs and got to play and Jenny was there and she's my favorite and I sat nicely for the picture and learned how to do "high five" and when mom put that stupid party hat on my head I didn't even try to take it off! It must have been one of the other two misbehaving although I wouldn't know because I was busy being friendly to pay any attention to what mom was doing most of the time. I will never understand humans.

Woof! I had a fun weekend! Both mommas work every other weekend, and so on those weekend she takes me to gma's house so Aunt Beez can puppy-sit. Man does she take puppy-sitting seriously! She won't let us break any of momma's rules while we are there! But Dora and I got to run and play outside all day long while gma worked on her garden. And Dora had to stay on the lead, so I teased her about it all day. Nah nah nah, big baby can't run free like me, try to catch me now! Boy when we got home Saturday she sure let me have it then!
Momma says its good for me to have Dora chase me like that, because I'm such a lazy dog and I was getting sausage-like before Dora came home. Since she's been here I've lost 1/2 lb just from all the running around the house. I'm getting faster too, now when we race around the coffee table its takes 5 minutes or so before I slow down enough for Dora to catch me.
Momma D brought something home last night and she is keeping it in the bathroom. She won't let me in to see what it is, but all night long it made noises like a dying cat. I hope its not another cat, they outnumber Dora and I already! Momma says she will show me what it is later today. Until then she just says, Albie, Wait!

Well obviously Momma D has nothing better to do at 2am than to bug me, asking questions about my day. Doesn't she know it's time for bed? How am I suppose to sleep if she doesn't come to bed? Somebody has to keep an eye on her, and Dora and the cats are all already in bed with Momma N.
Today when I rang my bell to go outside, Momma N opened the door and a squirrel was on the back porch! What fun! It tried to leap at her, but it didn't see me coming until mid-leap! I chased out the door right after it, but it ran up a tree and damn these short legs, I couldn't reach it! It sat on the lowest branch and chattered at me, but I barked at it until in went away. My mommas told me what a good boy I was for chasing away that nasty squirrel!
Later, after Momma N went to work, Momma D took Dora and I outside to play. She had the nerve to call us lazy dogs, because after 5 minutes we stopped playing and tried to lay down on the swing with her. What gives? Did we call her lazy for sitting on the swing reading the two hours we were outside? So instead I ate some grass, then rolled in the grass, and don't tell my mommas but I think I ate and rolled in something more than grass, and if they found out, I'd get another bath and my teeth brushed AGAIN - they caught me once already this week. Nosey mommas.
Momma D is still trying to sell me on this fetch idea. Today she was working with a frisbee. Someday she will realize I am a HERDING dog and NOT a retriever, and while I enjoy chasing the flying disc, my job is done when it stops moving. Today she tried tempting me by putting a little peanut butter on the frisbee. So I licked it off and then went to eat some more grass to wash it down. Momma D says she didn't know I was a billy goat and if I keep it up she won't have to spend her tax refund on a new lawn mower after all.
In other news, Dora has destroyed my last BoBo, so now I have to wait until my mommas can buy a new one or con gramma into fixing one of the old ones... again. Sometimes little sisters can be real pains in the butt. Momma says I can't be mad at her because I've destroyed my own fair share of toys too, why just yesterday I popped another one of my seal balls. And I was suppose to take it with me when Auntie Beezie puppysits us this weekend. Maybe momma will get me a new one before then, seal ball is my favorite new game.
Anyway, Momma says she's asked me enough questions and I can go back to sleep now. She likes it when I sleep behind her back when she's on the laptop, she says I'm the most perfectly shaped back pillow. Some compliment!
Albie, to bed.
