What a great summer!

Well, I know it's been a long time, but who can stay INSIDE when it's been such a great summer!!!

Me and my boy have had such fun! And my girls taught me a new trick! They say "Shake" and I give them my paw and they shake it and get all excited and tell me what a good dog I am!!! isn't that just silly!??

My mommy says I am the best boy now! Whenever one of the other dogs tries to step out of line, yes VITA I'm talking to YOU! I will run right over, split up the two, and make sure I put them in line!!! Mommy says I'm her little referee!

I get to sleep with my boy, and it's been so hot! So he has a nice, cool big toybox at the end of his bed, and it's all mine!!! I sleep on it, and anytime I hear anyone coming near my boy, I Growl and warn them!!! "Don't mess with MY BOY!"

I walk so good on a leash now, that Johnny can take me for nice walks all by himself now!!! Just the two of us! Then he always takes me running in the big back yard after!!!!

OH! I got the COOLEST toy ever!!!! It's a slingshot Duck! Johnny holds it's tail, and it's got a rubber thing and when Johnny lets go......WHEEEEEEEEE it flies across the room!!!!!!!!! Mommy gets mad when it lands in the water bowl though.......I dunno why. Oh how I just love the fetch game!!!!!! Rope fetch, holey roler ball fetch, tennis ball fetch, slingshot duckie fetch.........and my squeaky Cuz's too! I have an orange dinosaur one now too!!!! Oh how I love them! i am big enough to really get those buggers sqeaking for mercy now!!!!!!! Mommy keeps hiding them on me though......can't imagine why....it's such a great sound!!!!!!

Well off to play!!!!! Tomorrow my kids go back to school, isnt' that terrible!??? The summer is way too short!!!! But Mommy promised we'll go for walks, so I guess I'll be ok. Talk to you soon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!

Guess what!!!!!!! It's my birthday today!!!!!!!! Momma said so!!!!!! I am a whole year old!!!!!! My kids have been hugging me all day long and singing to me too!!!!! They sing:

Oh I am feeling so spoiled today!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh............what a great life!!!!!!!

A tree grows in.........

My living room........No I'm serious!!! My family had turkey day, then the next day they cleaned the whole downstairs, and moved furniture (much to Marnie's annoyance! She has the whole house memorized being blind and all) and then Dad brought in these big boxes.

Well, i was really excited, cause the kids were so excited and were yelling and bouncing all over, and it was really fun!!! Then Mom took this thing out of a box, and then put it together and it was a TREE......only it didn't SMELL like a real tree, or TASTE like a real tree, and mom wasn't thrilled with me tasting it and said to "DONT" EVEN THINK ABOUT IT" when I sorta sided up to mark it either!!!!! But it LOOKS like a tree.......sort of...

They put all these lights up on it.....all twinkly and pretty colors, and then put all these little dangly things on it!!! I've already chewed up one, and had to take a time out, but sheesh......they're DANGLING right there!!!!!! I mean REALLY!! So I guess it's some kind of SPECiAL tree, cause it sure is a big deal to everybody with two legs. I like to lay under it and look up in it......there's a fake bird in it, in a little nest that I'd just LOVE to get the feathers off and see what's inside.....but Mom would NOT be happy, so I just look at it. The kids like to tell me stories about all the little dangly things called ornaments. Some of them have names on them and look like animals or little people. They're really neat!

Johnny says that some guy named SANTA is coming to our house soon, and he'll be bringing me a present!!!! He says I can't bite him or anything or I won't get my present. I get to be loose all night now and I get to sleep with Johnny every nite the whole weekend!!!! Mom says I'm a big boy now, and I'll be a whole year old next month, so now I can be loose at night if I don't wreck the house while they're sleeping!!!! I'm really trying.......but they DID leave that bathroom door open with the paper that you can pull off.........not my fault!!!!!

TURKEY!!!!!!

Oh, I am sooooo happy... We had this HUGE feast here this weekend! it was amazing!!!!! Something called "Thanksgiving".......and Mom made a turkey that was bigger than I am!!!!! Oh the SMELLS!!!!!!! The whole house was a tantalizing cornocopia of amazing aroma!!!!! The dishes...the drool.......then the best thing EVER happened!!!!!!!

WE ALL GOT HUGE BOWLS OF REAL, HONEST TO GOODNESS FOOD!!!!!! Turkey and dog food and gravy and beans and carrots......oh.........we all got some!!!!!! It was a glorious moment............then we all were fat, happy, full and warm and lazy........and all of us and the humans too took looooooong lazy naps!!!!! Mom called it the "After turkey coma" whatever that means............Then when we woke up, they all ate pie and we got little snacks of crust.....

It was the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE..........ok, well so far anyway!!! And get THIS..........Mom says it comes EVERY YEAR!!!!!!!!!! Who knew!!!!??

Weird, White and Coooooold!!

Wow! Where do I begin! It's been a long time hasn't it?? Sorry bout that, but I've just been one busy pup!! I've had lots of new friends who came and went quickly the last month or so!!! I don't even have a single pal right now, but Mom says she's going back this weekend, and maybe I'll get a new pal!

The WEIRDEST thing happened this week!!!!! It came out of the sky!!!! All these little bitty white things!! I tried catching them, and they were like cold water!!!! THen they DISSAPEAR!!!!!! No lie!!!!! I'm serious!!!!!! It got really cold out, and Mom's making me wear one of those REDICULOUS doggie coats again! UGH! She even made me another new one this year..........POLKA DOTS........honestly!!!!!! Like the little yellow one with airplanes wasn't embarassing enough!!!! UGH!!! I tried to eat it last nite, but she caught me. That human has extra eyes hiding in the back of her head or something, I'm telling you.

Anyway, back to the weird white stuff!!! It is SO COOL!!!!! I mean COLD, like seriously.......it's freezing!!!!!! And now it's on the ground!!!!! And you can paw in it, and run in it, and eat it too!!!!!!! You run really fast with your nose down and it all flies up over your nose and over your head!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you get cold real fast, especially your paws, then you have to run in and rub your body all over the sofa to dry off, or even better, jump on a person, cause they're always so toasy and you'll get dried right off!! Make sure you put your coldest paw right on their skin, then they get towels and rub you off and you get to lay in front of the hot thing they call "Pellet stove"!!!!!!! This is the LIFE i'm telling you!!!!

ps..I get to sleep with my BOY and he loves me and says there's this thing called CHRISTMAS coming up!!! He says I'll get a stocking.......wonder if I can chew it?

What's New at the Zoo!

Ok, so it's not reaaaaally a zoo, but Mom calls our house that sometimes!! With 4 skin kids, plus all us 7 dogs, 3 cats and the tortoise (now named Bob) it feels like one! Specially if we all hafta warn mom about something like someone at the door! then we all gotta start barkin real loud!

So my buddy Rocko got adopted on Friday! I know, I'm happy for him, but I sure miss him too. He was a good buddy, like my pal Earl. They got great homes though. I still have Kayla here to play with, but Mom says not for long.....she says Kayla will be snapped up soon. Then Mom'll have to find me another buddy!

The kids are getting excited bout something called Halloween. They got out this big box, and put on all these funny outfits!!!! They pretended to be animals!! it's so weird!! they were elephants, owls and leopards along with bunnies and skunks too! But they all seem really really excited about it! They tried to put weird things on me like mouse ears!!! Can you IMAGINE!?? How degrading!!! Well, after I tried to eat them, they figured it out, me no like!!! ha ha ha!!! Smart kids!

Johnny says that when I get a little better on the leash, that I can be his sidekick! I dunno what that means, but he's got a cool sword and hat, so I bet it's something heroic! He says next year I can be superdog and he will be a super someone, can't remember who he said.....but it sounded cool, and I'll get to wear my own cape!!! Neat!!!!

Oh on a sad note.......after the fun we had playing in the leaves, and rolling in the dirt, mom said I have to have a bath this week.......sigh. I hate baths........yuck. YUCK.....YUCK!!!!! I like the towel snuggle part after though, and licking the peanut butter while I get my nails done is ok too i suppose. Did I mention I really don't like baths???

Barkin at Leaves

I love leaves!! They're so fun and crunchy!! I love to jump up and catch them......sigh!!!!

Well, lots goin on here! I have a TON of friends to play with right now! Rocko didn't go to a new family yet, so he is my favorite partner in crime and best pal!!!! He's about 2 yrs old, so he's young and fun like me!! I also have tons of fun with my little friend Kayla!! She's a chihuahua mix maybe a pug, and boy does she love to play too! Almost as much energy as me!! And I even can get the old stogy Mandy the beagle racing and chasing me when we go out and play!!!!! She's a couch potato in the house, but outside, when she sees Rocko, Kayla and I playing so hard, she can't resist to join in!!!!

We were playing so hard, a few days ago, that we made this big cloud of dirt hanging in the air over our whole dog yard!!!!!! Mom and Dad had to go out and sit on their yard swing to get away from it!!!! They laughed and took video of us on Dad's camera!! Mom says she' will try to get it posted soon! But since I ate her camera cord, it's harder for her to get stuff off her camera.

My pal Andi came to visit the other day for a playdate too!! She was Tiny and Tyler's sister, and got adopted by our best pals!! So I can get to still see her and play with her! She really loved playing with Kayla the best, I think I've grown since she saw me last.........she would just lay down and be submissive every time I bounced on her........no fun!!!! I hope she comes over more, and then she'll get used to me too!!!

Anyway, I get to be out all the time cept at night now, and Dad says I'm such a good boy now!! I know lots of neat stuff, and am way calmer now that I can get lots more play and exercise!!! Johnny is MY boy and he says I'm HIS dog too!!!! Rockin! I think every dog should go get a boy! They're so much fun!! I like the girls givin me belly rubs and all, but my boy likes to play play play like me!!!!

Fall is fun!

Sorry it's been so long since I've written! I've been having so much fun! My new yard is so awesome! I get to play play play! I've gone thru several foster friends, and watched them go off to their new homes. Earl, Missy, Tracy, Tyler and Tiny!!!!! Right now I have my pal kayla to play with! She is fun and we love each other! She is smaller than I am, she is a chihuahua mix, but boy does she have spunk! We get along great! I had a friend Rocko, but he's only been here two days and is going to leave on wednesday!!!! Sigh!!! Wonder if Mom will bring a new friend home!!!??

Mom got me the neatest toys ever!!!!!!! They are squeaky tennis balls!!!! oh do I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!!! She holds it up and squeaks it then throws it for me and I race to get it, bring it back and drop it for her to do it again and again and again!!!!!!!! You should see me jump up when it bounces off the big tree!!!! And they bounce and squeak when I chew them, and I can drop them off the steps and things and they roll!!!!! oh how I love my tennis balls!!!! My poor multicolor hard rubber weird ball is feeling neglected, so I had to give it a good play with, shaking, tossing and chewing it today.

oh boy oh boy! Speaking of today........guess what!!!! My tree is dropping it's leaves to play with!!!! they're all crunchy and poofy!!!!! I roll in them, lay in them, jump in them and chew them!!!!!!! What fun! I EVEN try to catch them as they fall!!!!! I love fall!!!!!!! I love leaves!!!!! Man life just keeps getting better and better!!!!!!

Mom and Dad call me a "nice dog" now and say I've turned into a real good boy. And cute too! of course, I knew that already! I am going to be a year old before we know it!!! In just 4 short months! Mom is taking me for walks and says she wants to teach me how to go along with a bike next!!! Woooo hoooo! Then we can go for long rides at the park! Well, not too long, Mom says she's "out of shape".....I dunno, I think she's got a nice round cozy shape myself! Poor Mom, she says she's a big fat ol lady and I will tire her out! Guess no one can keep up with little ol me!!!!!

I got a new sister!

ok, so maybe more like an aunty........but she's cool! Marnie gets to stay with us forever!! And it gets even better!!!

We got our own yard!! mom and dad put in this really cool fence and fenced in a whole part of the yard for us and my favorite shady tree!!!!! And the kids come in and play with us and throw me my toys and play chase with me and get this.........NO LEASH REQURIED!!!!!

So THAT's neuter!

Well of all the RUDE and rotten things to do to a guy!!!!! How INSULTING! I was all excited, thinking we were going to have some fun! Mom and Dad kept talking like it was the greatest thing ever!! And you know what they did to me???

Dumped me at the VET!!!!! And I won't even go into what they DID to me!! Ok, it really wasn't THAT bad......I dont' really remember much, and it didn't hurt, and the worst thing was I got STUCK in my CRATE for THREE days!!!!!!! C'mon people, that's an eternity for a JRT!!!!! MAN did I have some major pent up energy!!!!

But guess what? I guess it was a good thing, cause I feel calmer now and I get to be LOOSE ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I can play with my girl friends and not have to be separated anymore! WO HOOOOOOOO! Now that IS something to celebrate!! I get my stitches out Friday, and Mom says I'm "Good to go" whatever that means! LOL!

Well, I'm off to investigate my new foster sister!!
