Arrival Story:
My father was looking for a bird dog to go hunting with, he found Red in a 'free to a good home' add in the paper. Unfortunately my father goes through these fads and soon loses interest, as he did with red. He had planed on giving her up to a shelter when his hobby was over . I felt sorry for her just being tossted from home-to-home, so I decided to give her a chance. A sporting breed was the last dog I wanted, but she has turned out very well and is okay wih my cats if I'm with her.

I'm a pro crop/dock pooch!

I'm all for differences of opinion. And that is why I support cropping and docking so strongly. If I like the docked look, thats great! If you don't much care for it, thats great too! But most people who don't like cropping want to take that option away from eveyone else. It's like saying you don't like the color blue, so lets make it so no one can use blue.
I also would like to see kennel club standards allow both visions, and not favor one over the other in the ring.

What it all boils down to is this: We agree to disagree. There is absolutely no reason to make a law pro or anti docking/cropping. As for it harming the dog. Nope. No worse than desexing your dog. And just like desexing it must be cared for properly until healed. Do not judge the procedure by people who fail to care for their dog. Should we do that, all things would be banned.

Close-mindedness is how Pit Bulls and other good dogs got banned. So all I ask is that you worry of the animals well being only. And let personal choices be just that, a choice the caring owner makes.
