 Quick Bio:
Likes: long walks, welcoming guests to "his" house, swimming, playing with cats, shredding toys, "singing", trying to escape over the fence, car rides

Pet-Peeves: teeth brushing, being left alone, obeying any command

Favorite Toy: Anything toy that grunts and his "kong"

Favorite Food: salmon and peanut butter

Favorite Walk: Central Park by the Balto statue ( see pict.) or the wildlife reservation in NJ

Best Tricks: leaving food on his paws until he hears "O.K", jumping fences, spinning and crawling

Arrival Story: He was very neglected before I got him. He was never walked and almost never let out of his crate. He wasn't even fed everyday. He was about 40% underweight when I bought him from this awful person at four months old ( days before he was due to be put to sleep and used for medical testing at this man's medical school lab)This person had bought Juneau for his girlfriend, and she somehow didn't want him. This guy didn't want to take care of him, so he was going to sell him to the lab to try to recoupe some of his money. But, I couldn't let that happen.

Bio: Within days of coming home, he gained weight, became housebroken, and acclimated to what being loved felt like. He even fell in love with my cats.
His confidence grew, especially after agility classes and (not always successful) obedience training. He is now a completely spoiled Husky with an overflowing toy box and lots of long walks, and doggy friends (esp. "Bella" & "Teddy" ). I wish that every dog in a bad situation could wind up being as loved as he is!

I am a little groggy because I just recently just returned from Long Island, NY. I had to go to a special veterinary dentist and have surgery. My mom and grandpa drove me there. The surgery was to fix a slab fracture in my tooth. It hurt a lot, but the surgery wasn't too bad. I got a root canal and they had to give me some pain killers. Dr. Carmichael ( he's really nice) said that I probably broke it on a hard bone or Nylabone, and that it happens to a lot of other doggies. So, even though I like them my mom no longer gives them to me- only Greenies. Tell your mom and dad to not give you hard bones or you might wind up having a lot of pain like me!!
