Arrival Story:
Well I started fostering for the Humane Society of Utah and asked to foster older dogs or dogs with special needs. I've always loved BIG dogs but asked that I not foster a BIG dog because I already have 2. Well, I hadn't heard from the Foster Coordinator Juli for awhile and decided just to drop by one day after work. So I walk in and Juli says to me "I was just getting ready to call you. I know you don't want to foster a big dog but I'm in a jam. I'm going on vacation and this big sweet girl has been in receiving for a week and I can't leave her there and I'm afraid no one will take her due to her size." So Kora was in heat and the Shelter won't spay a female if she's in heat. So I said "well let me take a look at her." So she brings her out and it was love at first sight!! I wanted to get her out of there right away because the conditions in receiving are quite bad. Well, she was with us for about 1 month before we could get her spayed so after we did that we decided we loved her so much we would adopt her. I failed at fostering so I'll have to get back to volunteering at the Shelter. That's my Girl's arrival story!!
