Arrival Story:
wanting a dog, and missing my great dane that had passed away a few years prior, i talked my husband (then fiance) into a dog. since we lived in a one bedroom apartment at the time, he would only alow me to have a small dog, so we decided of a pomeranian. going around all the shelters for two weeks, and not finding any smaller dogs at all, i was starting to get really discouraged. while going to a satelite shelter, we noticed a street festivle, and there was a woman walking a greyhound. talking to her, she mentioned that the rescue group she was with was at the shelter. after looking at all the dogs, one which happened to be a pom, we looked at the grey's. nikki immediately came to me as i kneeled down and climbed on me. after the group assured that it was okay to have her in an apartment we signed the papers right then and there.

Bio:
nikki was trained as a racer at atascocita racing under the name "atascocita gem", but being the runt of the litter, she was a bit slower, so they never put her in any professional races. she was rescued from the track by the group "The Greyhoung Gang of Florida"
