Arrival Story: We had just lost our baby girl V at 6 to cancer. We weren't sure if we wanted another V so we were looking into other breeds. All the breeders I contacted either weren't available, didn't return calls or had no litters. We decided to try another Vizsla and the first call I made we found a litter in Arizona had just been born. We met with Woody's (Marlowes dad) people got ok'd and 8 weeks later drove to Arizona to get him. It was meant to be.
Bio: Full name: Mehagians Marlowe Shawn CGC. Marlowe is a loveable big leggy goof. Growing up with a basenji, he sails thru the house from one piece of furniture to another, although not quite a agile as his brother or now new sister. He loves playing with his little sister...........until she doesn't want to give up a toy. A short game of tug-a-war then he proceeds to put his big paw on her little head and pushes her away. It works every time.......the guys not stupid. Oh and how he loves to hear himself bark.......somedays its at anything or nothing. If you're around Marlowe with a beer you need to hang on with both hands. If you put it down, it becomes his, he knocks them down for a drink. If you're hanging on but not paying attention, his long tongue will find its way into any bottle, can or glass containing any kind of beer.............................. .................
Marlowe is now the oldest dog in the house. Since Dakota has been gone he has grown up quite a bit. He is now a much more serious guy. I sometimes miss my big ole goofball.......................... .................................. ..... Marlowe passed his test and became a Canine Good Citizen on 6/26/05

Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules.
Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
I am grateful for....
1. A warm bed to sleep in each night
2. A full bowl of food each day
3. My Mom and Dad...they love me so
4. My friends
5. Beer
6. Lambs...because without them I wouldn't have my BaaBaa Q's
7. Mom will be mad if I don't say this....Cheyenne and Apache
I'm tagging
Patan
Smoke...I'm poking you
Teagan
Meatball
Nikki
Poncho
Fatboy...Stator Chase Ray
My very bestest buddy and one of my first Dogster pals has taken his journey to the Bridge.
I cry for my loss and for your momma's loss for I know it is great. We both know you are now running free through those beautiful green fields at the Bridge. Your legs are are carrying you like the wind and there is no pain. I know that Caspar was there to greet you my friend and I can imagine Shawnee Skye, tail wagging, was there too. Through tears I picture the three of you running and playing, happy and free. I will miss you more then words can say and one day in the future I to will be there.
Rest in Peace Dillon..............
I turned 6 yesterday and want to thank all my pals that helped make the day that much more special. Mom has been real busy around the house packing things up for painting...I don't quite get that...but she took the day off and spent it with me. That was really nice. I got all kinds of toys...Auntie L..sorry, Frankie got gutted.....and I gutted another one but have so far left the others intact....for now. Mom didn't even get upset picking up stuffing from all over the house...Birthdays ROCK! I got the yummiest cake. It was made out of chicken and rice! Boy I REALLY didn't want to share that one...but I did nonetheless. All in all it was a great day. It would have been nicer had Dad not been out of town but now I get to have another celebration when he gets back! Two birthdays in one week....am I a lucky guy or what?
