Second Place!May 22nd 2007 2:09 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Well, we did pretty good at the dog show this weekend. It was a German Shepherd Specialty which means only German Shepherds were allowed to compete. We took 2nd place in the Open B class. This was my last Obedience trial so Mom is happy we went out on a good note!
Spring is here! Yay!May 12th 2006 10:29 am[ Leave A Comment ]
Dallas and I have been enjoying quite a few more walks in the woods these days. Mom says something about it not being so muddy. Huh? I can say from experience, muddy means nothing but fun! Somehow Mom doesn't see it that way...After all, GOOD muddy paw prints are a work of art!
YAHOO!! OBEDIENCE TRIAL CHAMPION!!October 2nd 2005 4:03 pm[ Leave A Comment ] This weekend we competed at a dog show and I earned my Utility Dog title! I now have completed all my obedience titles! Once you do that, the Canadian Kennel Club gives you an "extra" title of Obedience Trial Champion, or "Otch" for short. Mom is SO proud of me! She keeps calling me the smartest dog in the world...
CampingJuly 26th 2005 2:37 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We just got back from camping at Rock Point on Lake Erie. They have a special doggy beach just for us canines! Mom took us swimming EVERY day! I must say, I was in my glory. I can't get enough of the water. Mom took lots of new photos so you can see just how much fun I had. Dallas has finally got over his fear of the water and is more then willing to join me in my swim for our tuggy! I, of course, am the superior swimmer and he can't beat me to that tuggy no matter how hard he tries! To make it fair, Mom would make me come out of the water every few throws so Dallas could get the satisfaction of getting the tuggy all on his own. I really wish my people would buy a place right on the lake...
Finally!April 23rd 2005 8:34 am[ Leave A Comment ] Yesterday Mom finally took that stupid cone off my head. Within ten minutes I had to give my incision a good scratch - it's SO itchy! Well, didn't I make it bleed a bit. Now I think I know why I had to wear that cone all week. Mom checked me out and told me to "leave it." Duh - didn't she think I found that out the hard way? I haven't bothered with it since. Mom keeps giving me rubs all around it and it makes me feel better. She's much more careful than I was. I got to do some training yesterday, too! I've been SO bored. Us Shepherds need to do something, not lay around all day! Life is back to normal : ) Wrrooof!
Gone!April 15th 2005 12:18 pm[ Leave A Comment ] My lump is finally gone! The only problem is - I have to wear this stupid cone on my head for 1 whole week! I asked my mom, "How am I suppossed to be a guard dog with a dumb cone on my head?" I'm trying to look cool and handsome but somehow I just don't think I'm pulling it off...No self-respecting Shepherd dog should have to look like this! At least I'm back at home. Dallas keeps bugging me, I know he's curious about my new head gear but I'm in no mood for him right now! I just yelled at him a bit and Mom told him to leave me alone. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better and then I'll let him sniff it out. Mom says I'll be all better in 1 week and then she'll take this thing off. What a dog's gotta do...
April 7th 2005 9:46 pm[ Leave A Comment ] My mom found a lump on my chin about a month ago and took me to the vet. He told her not to worry about it right now because everything else was normal. We would keep an eye on it. Well my mom was looking at my chin EVERY day. She was so annoying. That lump started to bother me and I just couldn't stop itching it. Off to the vet we go again and this time I heard my mom say it had grown from the size of a pea to the size of a lima bean in 3 weeks. She sounded pretty worried. Now the doc says we should remove it because of it's rapid growth. I know I have to be brave but I really wish my mom could be there with me. I know she will be there when I wake up and I heard her make sure I could come home with her the same day. My mom really trusts my doctor and so do I (he's got REALLY good treats) so I'm sure I'll do great.
