He was used for fighing in his earler years until my next door neighbor rescued him and shes had him for the past 6 years.
She recently moved to GA and could not take him, she was worried about moving with him being so old and blah blah blah so she left him with the family on the other side of me because she thought they would take good care of him and the kids over there wanted him, by kids I mean 16 and 18 year olds.
They kept Herc chained up in the back yard and I just noticed how unhappy he was and how he hardly ever got fed and never had any water so I started to take him over some things to drink and eat at night and I called my old neighbor in GA and told her so she called them and bitched them out and they said they would take better care of him.
On Sunday the day of the Hurricane when we got home there were still some pretty big winds about 50mph but nothing too bad and we noticed that Herc was STILL chained up on their tree and they were no where to be found. Those assholes kept that dog tied to a damn tree in a hurricane!!! A gust of wind could have picked him up and wraped him around that tree or the damn tree could have fell on him.. With it still raining and the winds still ripping we took Herc of the chain and put him in our shed for shelter.
A day went by and they didn't even come looking for the dog.. I called my old neighbor again and she was pissed and I told her that I would be taking the dog and she agreed and I told her to tell them if they have any problems with that that I have pics on my disposable camera of that dog chained to that tree in the storm and I would glading give those to whomever could prosecute them for animal cruelty.
