My New Home

Well, I have been living in my new home for about two months now and I have to say it is fantabulous!!!

I get lots of love, I have a big sister to play with, sometimes I get to take naps with mommy or daddy on the big bed. I also have lots of toys and yummy treats and food to eat. What more could I ask for?

The only bad thing so far is that they make me go to school. I like to see all the doggies and the people, but it is just so exhausting. We have to walk around the store, and then I have to do things like sit, down, wait, take it, leave it, drop it, etc.... all just to get a treat.

I really hate leave it. Mommy puts a treat on the floor and says leave it, which means I can't have it. So if I can't have it, why even put it there. It just looks and smells so good and I want it!!!! But I get the WRONG word and I just have to stare at it.

My mommy takes me and Blanca for a walk everyday. I love it, but I love when we get back because I get a treat and then I get breakfast. And then I get to play.

But after play time, mommy disappears and I don't even know what happens to daddy. He takes me to bed and when I wake up he is gone. But then after mommy disappears, my daddy comes home and that means I get play time with Blanca and more nap time either in the big bed or on the floor or on my daddy's lap.

Then mommy comes home and she's always got stuff that I can stick my big poodge nose into to see what it is. When mommy gets home I know that means it is almost time for dinner. Yum Yum!!!

I have to say my new home is lots of fun. It has lots of rooms and a big backyard. I love to explore and I especially love when I make my big discoveries (shoes, socks, pieces of paper, and bark from the backyard). I love to run around with my finds while I watch mommy and daddy chase me.

I LOVE it here!!!!

I'm a Big Boy

Last Friday, I figured out how to escape my pen and I surprised my mommy and daddy at the door. Daddy looked shocked, so I just wagged my tail and pretended like nothing happened.

Anyways on Monday when mommy left for work, she put me and Blanca outside and closed the doggie door. I was a good boy. Of course they have no idea that I snacked on the bark!!!

So on Tuesday when mommy left for work, she left both me and Blanca inside with the doggie door open. I decided I would be a really good boy. I didn't get into anything except for the toys mommy left out for me. I want to keep getting privileges like Blanca.

So today, me and Blanca are here again all by ourselves. I'm trying really hard to be a good boy. But I'm thinking I might jump up in the living room chair so I can look out the window and see when my daddy will be getting home. I like to greet him at the door. I'm getting tired, so I think I'm going to take a nap like my sister is doing.

I'm a Really Big Boy

I haven't written in a while because I have been such a busy boy. So many things have happened....

First of all, I got weighed last week and I am almost 60 pounds now. I weigh more than my sister. Mommy calls me a chunk!!

I graduated from puppy class and I am now on my way to an advanced degree. I think I get that in two more weeks. Daddy says I'm messing up the curve for my class because I'm not very good at heel or "on your bed"

I went swimming for the first time in my grandpa's pool. Actually I fell in and had to swim to the side, I'm not to sure about it. Then my aunt pushed me in, I was swimming, but I got scared because I wasn't sure I could make it to the side, but daddy came to my rescue. So when I went home, the next day mommy and daddy were going in the spa, so I climbed right up and jumped in. It was like a bath, really warm, I had to get out just to cool down.

Mommy and daddy put in new floors. Now me and Blanca slip and slide all over the place. It is kind of fun, but it makes it hard to run really fast or play tug of war (no traction)!!

I got lots of new toys, but I ripped right through them. Mommy is now getting me those really hard rubber toys so she doesn't have to keep getting new ones every week. I love to play fight over them with my sister. It freaks out mommy and daddy.

I'm also the "enforcer". I am my sister's bodyguard. Dogs love to come up to her, but she is scared, so I let out my most ferocious barks to keep them at bay. Tiffany my teacher, showed daddy how to put me in a submissive position until I calm down. I just hate it because I want to go after "Lubo". WTH is Lubo doing in my doggie class??

I've gone back and visited the Humane Society a few times. I love all my friends there. They were the ones that led me to my mommy, daddy, and Blanca. It is so much fun to visit!!! I hear they want me to be a therapy dog. I don't know what that all means but it sounds really important!

The best thing of all is that I made the paper again. I am quite the celebrity! There is a picture of me and daddy. I must admit I look really cute, daddy not so much. I think I am more popular than he is, just look at how big my head is!!!

Well I am having fun in my new life. I love napping and playing with Blanca and mommy and daddy took us up to the mountains and over to grandpas. I love when I get to ride in the car.

I'm the Boss

So, Tiffany my teacher thinks I'm going to be the boss of me and Blanca. She says that I'm trying to take control. It's true, I'm getting bigger than my sister so I have to protect her. I only bark at the other dogs in class because they make her nervous and scared.

So, I couldn't do down/stay last night, big deal!!! It was just so hard with those yummy treats in front of me. And then I wanted to go check out those little dogs. I just couldn't contain myself. I plan on cramming for the final and showing all those dogs who's the boss, especially that noisy one Lubo!!! Again, I ask why is Lubo in my intermediate class. Someone needs to trade him already!!!

Mommy says if I graduate, I will have one more degree than daddy!! I think that makes me smarter!!!

So today I got to prove what a good bodyguard I am. I saw a big dog across the street while on a walk. I let out my warning bark so mommy and Blanca would know something was there. Mommy thought I was barking at a paper bag, but then she saw it. She said it was a coyote and we had to move. But I wanted to go and see it so I tugged the other way. Mommy said be quiet and move it. She made us run quietly down the street and onto our cul de sac. By that time I was all energetic so I started messing with Blanca. I was giving her little bites just to reassure her that I was going to protect her. Mommy said coyotes are wild and probably wouldn't come up to us, but she didn't want to take that chance. I know I could kick his butt, but I guess I'll never get the chance.

Well, it is do definitely nap time. I might just try to steal that pillow from Blanca even though we have two. Maybe I'll gnaw on my bone for a little while.

Well, I graduated from advanced class. Daddy says I get an asterisk because I can't get along with other dogs anymore.

I don't know what my problem is, I guess I think I need to protect Blanca. You think she might appreciate it a little bit.

Speaking of Blanca, she got all the attention because she did so good in advanced class.....blah!!!

I want to learn how to ride a skateboard too, but Daddy says not until I learn how to behave with the other dogs. So I guess I'll have to try...

I wish Blanca would play more with me. We have so much fun when she is in the mood, but sometimes she just wants to take a nap and I want to play and play. Our favorite games are chase and lazy wrestling. Lazy wrestling is when we are both lying down and we just kind of paw at each other, and take little nips at each other. It's fun because we don't have to do much.


I have to go, I think mommy will be home soon.

The Big Bed

Well, I finally did it, I have made it into the big bed with daddy, mommy, and Blanca. A few nights of whining, barking, and forcing myself to vomit and I am now up on the big bed. I just love it!!! It is so warm and cozy and I can sleep up against my mommy. It is so much more comfortable than my crate and the pillows. Mommy says I take up a lot of space, but I love to stretch out from nose to the end of my stump!!!

On a side note, I saw Val the trainer at the humane society and she says that I am not aggressive towards other dogs. I just want to play which is pretty much what I have been trying to say all along. I just want to play and play with everyone. I just didn't really like Lubo in class and that incident with Allie was more to do with me being mad at mommy and daddy for leaving me!!

I also got to see Santa Paws on Saturday. I got my picture taken and everything. Blanca tells me that Santa Paws comes down the chimney and leaves toys and treats for all the good doggies.

Mommy!

Mommy broke her ankle and stayed home with us forever!! I got to sit right next to her on the recliner so I could keep a good watch over her.

But the coolest thing was she couldn't chase me! So, I stole everything: three of daddy's hats, shoes, papers, books, magazines, dish towels. You name it, I took it! I would high tail it upstairs or out the door. It was so much fun until daddy came home!! He was so MAD!! But I just give my special cute face and all is forgiven.

Mommy is walking now, but she walks really funny. I just have to laugh because she looks like a duck!! But I'm happy because she might be able to take us on walks really soon. I love walks because I can chase cars and airplanes and lunge and bark at other dogs. I knocked my daddy over twice the other day. It was fuuuunnnnyyyy!!!

Well I must go find something to steal!
