Favorite Walk: Any trail that involves his Dad, and a backpack

Arrival Story: Pete was rescued by Second Chance Pet Rescue in Coeur d'Alene, ID. My wife and I were looking to get our first dog, and through friends we were introduced to Second Chance and Pete.

Bio: Pete is the best family dog I have ever known. His energy level is perfect for us, and his demeanor is perfect for our home. He is wonderful with our kids (two young boys), and is an excellent hiking companion. Well behaved and calm, he never runs off.

Forums Motto: I like going for rides!!!

Anatolian?: When we first got Pete we were told that he was a Lab cross. As time went on we continued to think that he was a mutt (I love mutts!). My best guess was that he had some Saint Bernard in him.
I would have never cared what breed Pete is, but he is such an amazing dog that I wanted to be able to find another like him. Pure luck revealed that he is an Anatolian Shepherd. I had never heard of the breed before, but now they are all I want.
