Arrival Story: After my beloved epeleptic collie passed away after 13 years. I settled on getting another herding dog to keep our border collie company and to join me on my hikes and jogs. Unfortunatly adopting an adult was out of the question as Sadie (our border collie) is from working lines and can tend to be dominant with other dogs it took us a year to integrate Beau our last rescue into the house. We had to drive six hours to his breeders on a few different occasions to get Desoto but he was well worth it! Even if those nine weeks of waiting where the longest ever!
Bio: Desoto is named after a car and his moms slight obcession with them. It suits him well since he would rather cruise around in one them than go for a walk anyday!

Today was the first really warm day of the year, mom says not to get used to it because its going to be cold and raining again tomorow. But today was fun anyways we went out and soaked up the sun for hours, it was hot but there was a really cool breeze and I took a nice nap in the shade under the patio table while mom sat outside. Mom made us some yummy pupcicles for tonight, my favorite kind banana and peanut butter yummmm!
Today started off good, cold but sunny, the way I like it. Mom took me out for a couple short games of fetch. I hurt my leg last week so she will only let me go for short walks, now I can play again in short bursts. I tried to explain to her I dont care if it hurts I just wanna run, but she disagrees with me. Anywhoo... it was really fun, I chased a GIANT wild turkey, until mom saw what it was and called me back. And then we got in the house and I realized why she had let me run around for a while, she was going to attack me! Once a week she does this I never know when its coming and she tires me out first so I cant fight back! Then she brushes my teeth and cleans my ears. Hmph. I would rather be dirty and smelly thank you very much mom.
This morning I woke mom up with a super high pitched howl right in her ear. To my surprise she actually got up to see what I was so worried about. I told her to look out the window above the bed. There where 30 or so cows in our front yard! Aparently the nieghbors younger cows and calves had escaped and made the 1/2 mile walk down the road and into our yard! There they where bouncing around right in front of the window and Mom said I couldn't go out to play because I pulled a muscle in my leg yesterday.
