Birthday: May 1st 2007 Likes: stealing things and running around with them Pet-Peeves: when all 3 boys gang up on her Favorite Toy: anything she's not supposed to have Favorite Food: Mighty Dog and Purina One Favorite Walk: all over the property Best Tricks: we're still learning some, like not to steal things. Arrival Story: When I went to the shelter to drop off puppy food, I saw this adorable little yellow lab in one of the cages, just watching me as I walked by. I asked Lisa about her and she told me that she was the sweetest thing, but too energetic for a lot of the people who came in to adopt. We have a farm, so I offered to take her home and let her run with the other guys - long story short, her time was running out at the shelter and my husband liked her the minute he saw her. She is really smart, but timid about everything. We hope to get her socialized with the real world and trained enough so that she will be appreciated by any family that wants to make her theirs. She's 100% better after 2 days of interaction with us and the other pups. She really IS smart! Bio: OK, so the guys ganged up on me and said "we don't want Maggie to leave!" I told them they were crazy, but ok, she can stay. Maggie now has her furever home, WITH US!! Forums Motto: It's MINE! I found it! The Groups I'm In: *LABRACADABRA!!*, A Better Life, FebrezeĀ® Pet Odor Eliminatorā¢, LABS LABS AND MORE LABS!!!!!!!!!, Retrievers I'm Staying HERE!: I've been such a good girl - Mommy and Daddy said I could stay here with them furever! YAY - I love my fur bros and fursis - can't imagine being anywhere else!
Mommy woke me up singing Happy ANniversary (now I have a headache) and started playing with me too early!!! She's telling me how we're going to see Miss Lisa at the shelter today (she KNOWS I hate going for rides in the car) and we have to get my rabies shot (what an anniversary present!) but that we're coming right back home to have a pawty!!! Wanna come? we can chase Cody around the barn, and bite Mocha and Jake and fight with Tucker and bark at the horses and then have some FROSTY PAWS!!! I'm so glad Mommy and Daddy said I could stay here when they brought me home last year. Although, somehow getting a shot on my anniversary seems to be SO WRONG!!!
Cody and Tucker are always fighting over mouses. Whenever Mommy changes the water in the horses' pens, mouses run out from under the tubs and the boys go crazy! Jakey and I were walking around the fence line this morning, and he got all excited and jumped on something - it was a MOUSES! It got away from him and ran and I CAUGHT IT!
Yuk. It was furry and squirmy and didn't taste good at all. It was no fun to play with, I closed my mouth and it stopped moving. Jake called Cody and Tucker to come see what I had, and Mommy came running, too. She asked me if she could see it and I spit it out. She called me a good girl and threw it away.
It's been almost a month since Daddy took me out of that cage at the shelter and brought me home. I've learned a whole lot of things from Tucker, Jake and Cody - what to steal and hide, what to do to make Mommy trip, then jump on her, how to make the big dogs run around in their pens . . . Mommy calls me the "little terror", but Daddy calls me his girl. He told Mommy that anyone who wants to adopt me had better pass the Maggie test or else I'm staying right here!
Since I'm giving the test, I don't care who it is, they FAIL!
