Arrival Story: We lost a second of our three miniature schnauzer's since moving to a rural area. Pepper was 13 when we lost her. We decided to adopt another rescue dog since we adopted our first rescue a year ago and it was very successful.
The first time we saw Sasha, the shelter personnel had named her Pretty Girl. She was pretty, dainty, and full of energy! They said she was 3 years old and well behaved. It was love at the first meeting. The only odd thing was that the shelter told us she was some type of collie mix.
We were watching an episode of the Dog Whisperer and the dog that popped its head out of the door looked exactly like Sasha! Her head, tail and build---except that Sasha has longer slimmer legs and her hair is longer than the pure-bred Shibas. If anyone can figure out the other half or quarter of her genetic makeup we would love to know.
Bio: She has the face of a fox, the tail that curls around the back, the low chest profile and shape of a pure bred Shiba, she is just longer legged and the fur is longer haired and finer.
