A handsome dog!

Today I was doing adoptions at PetSmart when Carson and his family came in. He is so handsome! He is taller and his tail curls around so pretty. He is sweet and friendly as he was as a puppy. His sister (blk Lab) was with him too. His family had decided to adopt a cat and they want a black one to match the 2 dogs. :) Besides they 2 dogs are adopted and they know that black dogs are harder to find homes for and black cats as well. I loved seeing Carson and his wonderful family. He is happy, loved and taken excelent care of. Wow! It felt so good to hug him.

I'm sick.

I went to the vet last week to have blood work done. Mom was worried cause I am always cold. She says I don't like to play as much as Sweet Pea either and she thought I might not be well. The test came back OK except for one reading. It indicates I may have heart worms. Then last night I got sick. It was hard for me to breath and I threw up. Mom talked to my vet's nurse and she told her what meds to give me. In 30 min. I felt much better and in 45 min. I was feeling pretty good. THEN Mom and Dad set up the air mattress on the livingroom floor. Mom said she didn't want me to be alone all night and she is scared I might jump off her tall bed and get hurt. I loved sleeping with Mom. It's worth being sick. :)

Life is good.

I feel very at home here. I love my Mom and Dad. My Dad spoils in all kinds of ways. All I have to do is go up to him and he picks me up and holds me. I love it. Mama is very good to me also. She lets me nap with her when she can nap. She takes turns with Dad holding me while they watch TV. Mama said I can't sleep in the people bed with them because it is high up and if I jumped off I could get hurt real bad. I am feeling good. Mama says my teeth look a little better but still need a professional cleaning. She said I will have them cleaned when I get spayed. She says I'll feel even better when my teeth are all fixed up. I ove it here. Mama is home with us almost all the time and she feeds me and gives me treats too. I like my friends here. Heidi is a good friend. If a furever home is better then this I will be in Heaven there. hehehe

I'm all clean n' shiny

I am doing very well. Mother and I finished our medication and are both feeling very well. Today foster Mom gave us a bath. She was really on a roll cause she gave baths to Bella, Heidi, Katie, Mother and me. She used green apple scented doggie shampoo and I am so silky and smell so good. It was not bad at all. She didn't get soap in my eays or anything. She cleaned my ears and dried me in a big fluffy pink towel. It felt good. I was a good girl for my bath too. She is nice to me so I am nice for her. Mom told me and mother that she is going to set an apointment for us to be spayed and have our Heart Worm test. I hope I pass. Then she said she is afraid we will have to go through heart worm treatments. She says we are going to be here with her and Dad for several more weeks and then we will go to our furever home, and never leave there for the rest of our lives. I hope I like my furever home. Mom says we will be adopted by someone who is perfect for us or we will stay here. She said she will not let us go unless it is a good home. That's good!

I'm Happy!

Things are going real good. I feel better and I have my Mama with me. We go for long walks with our foster Mom and we get good food and all the clean water we want here. We get held and cuddled and lots of ear scratches and belly rubs too. My foster Mom told me I will be here for quite a while but I will one day go on to a wonderful happy home where my owners will never bring me to the pound and leave me again. That sounds so good. I am being a good girl. I take my medacine and I don't cry or bark too much. My foster Mom won't let us out in the house with her and the other dogs! She said I have to be well before I can do that. I guess that's OK with me cause I do have Mama to keep me company. Oh Boy! Time to go for another walk. Gotta go now.

Today was a wonderful day for me. I am feeling pretty good but still coughing from the kennel cough. Mom went to get me some med. and then she went to the pound and got another sick dog. This mom is a strange lady. Does she only take sick dogs? Well anyway she went in another part of the house and stayed with the new dog a long time. I think she got a bath. Then mom talked on the little box thing to another human and she jumped up and left again. I have cried a few times and she held me cause I missed my mother very much. Well I went to sleep and then the door to my room opened and OMG! My MAMA!!! My foster mom had my Mama with her and now we are together again. I was so happy and my mother was so very happy too. We cuddled and took a nap together cause we get to stay in the same crate. I';m so happy. mom took us for a walk and fed us dinner and gave us clean water and it is so nice. I don't cry anymore. Thanks Mom and a big thank you to God. Life is good again and when mother and I are well it will be wonderful.

A new life

I lived all my life with my mom. We had lots of babies but they were all taken away and sold. Then after a long time the owner took us to the pound and left us there. Both of us were sick so I guess it was too much trouble to help us. A real sweet lady named Stacy came and got us and took us to her vet. We had worms, heart worms, I have a hernia, and other stuff. I got meds and was feeling better a couple of days later and so was mom. Then I was picked up by my foster dad and brought here. I've been here 2 days now. My foster mom is real sweet. She holds me when I am sad and miss my mom. Sometimes I cry for mama. She says I am going to the vet tomorrow and she is going to help me get well. I like the food here and there is plenty of it. I have a clean crate with a soft blanket to burrow under and clean water to drink. I have not met the other dogs here but I will as soon as my mom says I can. For now I am lonely for my mom but feel safe, Mom said someone else took my mom and she is safe and getting help too. Maybe I;ll see her again one day.
