Wasn't it nice of Catster to given us free gifties of a Febreze collar? It helps us to touch base with our pals to let them know how much they mean to us and that we are thinking about them. The collars are such a a purrty blue, too.

I was going to thank each special pal who sent me the furiendship Febreze collars in my diary but so many precious pals have sent collars to me and to my furmily that my mom told me that no way could she name each special pal. Please understand that my meowmy IS the problem not me. I need her to type for me so I have to just grin and do what my mom says. My mom just keeps losing track of from whom I am receiving these pawsome collars. You know you just can't hire good help these days.

I would would really like to thank each of you fur the furiendship Febreze collars that you sent to me and want you to know how much it means to me to have such special and caring pals. You are all furry special and I am so greatful to have such pawsome pals in my life. Thank you to all who cared enough to send these furiendship collars to me. I love all of you.

Yesterday, July 28th, Minister Misty shared this touching piece in The Power of a Purr and Prayer. I saw my mom having so much trouble fighting back tears and then losing that battle and crying very sad sobs. Here is what Minister Misty shared.

Dear Mom and Dad

I died today.
You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number.
I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left.
My collar was too dirty and too small, and the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t chewed your shoe?
I didn’t know what it was, but it was leather and it was on the floor.
I was just playing.
You forgot to get puppy toys.

Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken?
Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed I had to go at all.
There are books on obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t brought fleas into the house?
Without anti-flea medicine I couldn’t get them off me after you left me in the yard for days.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t barked?
I was only saying, “I’m scared, I’m lonely, I’m here, I want to be your best friend”.

Would I still be at home if I had made you happy?
Hitting me didn’t make me learn how.

Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care for me and to teach me manners? You didn’t pay attention to me after the first week or so, but I spent my time waiting for you to love me.

I died today.!
I miss you!

My kitty brofur Hooch's fiancée Calamity sent me a nice heart rosette to thank me fur helping make her birthday a special one! Thank you fur remembering me, even though I am at the Bridge, sweet Calamity!

My human sisfur arrived on July 17th for a visit with my earth furmily. She got to stay for a week. My furmily doesn't get to see her often enough because she lives in Wichita, KS which is a long, long way from where my pawrents live. Mom says takes 20 hours to drive to Wichita from their earth home. And my mom doesn't fly! Yikes, being in a car fur 20 hours! No way! Mom has had lots of activity since my sisfur arrived!

This morning, my pawrents got up early (4:30 am) today to take my sisfur to the airport to fly back to Wichita. Mom said it has been so much fun having her with them. My pawrents did not stop since she arrived. They celebrated lots of birthdays. It seemed that they were constantly on the go or having people over. Mom said it has been a furry short week with my sisfur and she wants her to come back soon for a longer visit. There just was not enough time to do effurything they wanted to do.

And, while my sisfur was visiting, I got the coolest ball from Daisy Mae. She wanted to know if I wanted to play ball. Ball, did she say ball? Oh YAY! I love to play ball. Oh, I do hope I won't step on her with my big feet when we are playing. Thank you, Daisy Mae.

Mom is very slack!

Mom doesn't give much time to us dogs. It is always about the cats. Well, I guess we will have to accept that.

I have not acknowledged some very special gifts I received back in March! You see, my mom still has a very hard time coming to my page. I know how much she misses me but she needs to be more thoughtful.

One of my very first pals on Dogster was a very find Golden Retriever angel named Gage. He gave me a furever rainbow star for my page on March 25, 2008. I thank Gage from the bottom of my heart for his love. He will always be special to me. If you get a chance, go to his page and sign his guest book.

Another furever rainbow star was given to me by some very fine dogs. Mallory, Ruger (an angel), Sierra (an angel) and Kona (an angel) gave me this nice gift on March 29, 2008.

And today, I met some new pals from Switzerland. They sent me a lovely heart. Their names are Emma and Eleanor "Ellie".

~ I once caught a cat ~

One time when I was about 3 years old, I caught a neighborhood cat who crossed our fence and come into our yard. My dad saw me coming around the corner of the house with something in my mouth and realized I had caught a cat. And you know what he did next? He yelled at me to drop the cat but I did not drop the cat. I was so proud of my prize and wanted to show my dad what I had captured. I just kept on trotting to my dad. Then dad saw blood and did not know which of us was bleeding and then he really yelled at me to drop the cat. AT that point, I realized that my dad was NOT pleased with my catch and I decided to let the cat go. Boy, could that ol' cat run. It did not take the cat long to jump out of our yard. It turned out the blood was coming from ME! The cat had really sliced my poor nose with his claws in an effort to show me who was boss. I did not let that persuade me to let go but my dad's yelling at me made me decide that I had better let the cat go or else. The good news is that the cat was NOT hurt in the least... only ME. But you know that cat NEVER came into our yard again. So, I did a good job keeping the cat out of my yard. Right? All I really wanted to do was play but the silly ol' cat was having none of that!
