Arrival Story: Found as a stray running across a dangerous intersection, Sam was taken in by some caring people and is now ready to find a loving home! He is in foster care with us and is a GREAT beagle!
Bio: Sam is a young, happy beagle. He is housetrained, and enjoys the company of other beagles, but would be OK as an only dog, too. He is very willing to please, and is a playful, curious, and active young beagle. Experience with the breed would be a bonus since Sam is typical beagle! :) He still likes to explore things with his mouth - a very typical puppyish/young beagle behavior, and loves his chew toys. He likes to play fetch, and loves to be outside, so an active home would be great for him! He turns over for belly rubs at the drop of a hat, so someone willing to give him the love and attention he deserves would be the best match for him!
Sam would do best in a home WITHOUT a fenced in yard since he has refined the art of escape from fenced in yards - either by digging under or climbing over fences, and can just never be trusted in a fenced in yard! Even while supervised he has managed to escape from yards, so we feel it is in his best interests to find a home where someone can provide him with a lot of exercise, and even visits to a dog park instead. Sam cannot be crated, but is NOT destructive when left alone.
