Birthday:

Likes:
Mo' loves sniffing out Loo-Loo's spots and trying to mark them for his own

Pet-Peeves:
When Loo growls at me 'cause she doesn't want to play, when the boy or the girl wake me up and then lose interest. Mommy has to take me outside then, and she gets grumpy with them.

Favorite Toy:
A Puppy size Kong filled with treats

Favorite Food:
Whatever is in Loo's dish

Favorite Walk:
I HATE the leash. I lay down and mommy "drags" me. Maybe I will learn to like it better when I start puppy Kindergarten in August.

Best Tricks:
I am especially good at wrapping people around my little paw

Arrival Story:
Mommy found me on Petfinder.com and drove an hour to the shelter to pick me up. I hope that I'm really a little lap dog and not a 90lb. monster 'cause I really like sitting in her lap and cuddling on the couch.

Puppy Kindergarten

Well, now that I'm a "big boy" mommy enrolled me in "Puppy Kindergarten" at PetsMart. It's really fun to go there, but for some reason mom gets frustrated when I run from the car to the store barking to let everyone know that I'm here. Doesn't she know that's my way of saying hello to my friends?? Anyway, I'm trying to remember to walk on a loose leash across the parking lot, and mommy says that my barking makes the little old ladies and kids think I'm a meanie.

I've learned to sit, stay and come when I'm called. Mr. Charles (my teacher) is kinda like Santa Claws for dogs...he always gives good treats when I sit and look at him!

Graduation is September 29th. I get to wear a graduation cap and get my diploma. I might even be valedictorian!!

Well, I went to the vet today. It wasn't so bad, 'cept for the shot, but mommy held me, so that wasn't awful either.

Loo-Loo was really nervous and peed in the floor...I thought 'that was hilarious. I'm glad mom couldn't tell that I was laughing 'cause then I would've been in trouble!

Loo got a rabies shot and they looked at her eyes. They said she was in good shape for her age. Mom didn't give me any credit for beefing up Loo's exercise regimen by chasing her around the house every day. Before I came along all she did was walk from the pillow to her food dish to her crate. Now she's all over the place trying to get away from me!

As for me, I tipped the scale at 4 and 1/2 pounds. I'm really growing! I fell asleep in the car on the way home. They said I might be a little wiped out from the shot and the worm pill. I was glad to be back in my own neck of the woods. They had some cats walking around the vets office that were way bigger than me. I sure hope mom never brings one of those things home! I keep hearing her ask Dad if he's talked to the man with the American bobtails, but I'm sure that's nothing to be concerned about!

Crates, we don't need no stinkin' crates!

Well, mommy has decided that I cannot get used to "going" whenever I get the notion, so she is keeping me in my crate.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like my crate. I sleep in there all night with my favorite stuffed doggy and my kong. I even go in there by myself sometimes just to "chill". But now, she's making me stay in my bed instead of roaming all over the den and kitchen. She still lets me lay on her lap and sometimes on the pillow with Loo-Loo, but she read somewhere that I need to go potty, play, and then into my crate for a while. She lets me out every hour or so (sometimes a lot shorter 'cause she gets lonesome for me) and takes me outside for a potty and a treat. Then she plays with me and loves me and tires me out. But then, I'm back in my crate for a while.

I wonder if this has anything to do with my "going" 3 times in the den in front of dad last night? He seemed a little grumpy about that. Or maybe it was the tinkle on the carpet that he stepped in before mom could clean it up? Or maybe it's 'cause daddy said mommy wouldn't be able to potty train me and mommy hates to lose??

Oh well, I'll just cuddle up with my stuffy dog, lick the peanut butter out of my kong and wait on mommy to take me out again.
