Fires Friday

Well the planes are so close they shake the house as they go over to put water on the fires. The dogs are getting used to it now. I have a headache thinking about what to put in the car if we need to go. Defiantly Sooke and Zoe's ashes and the computer, meds, cell phone charger, pills and a change of clothes......oh and wedding pictures. Other than that it is all stuff I guess.
The fire map shows we are still miles away from the fire and the wind is still keeping the smoke away, so we are still doing better than many.
Thanks for the prayers, they seem to be working!

Fires

Well another fire over the ridge from us again this year. At this point it is 1000 acres and fully out of control, but the wind is heading West, away from us.... thank dog!!!

Little or no sleep tonight, keep checking updates on the weather, fire, etc.

Hiatus

Dear pals,

I have not been doing so well and need some time to sort things out. Since the death of my dad, grandmother and aunt, I have not been able to get my head right. So I will be in and out from time to time, but need to take care of me.

I am not in such a bad place, that I am in danger, just not doing well.

Thanks for understanding and I look forward to being pals again. Right now I am riding this roller coaster of emotions and life. I am just here for the ride...........

Thanksgiving

The father of the pups here: Man oh man did I eat too much. We did not take the dogs with us, am glad too, the nieces were enough.

I have gotten many lovely gifts for my dogs, I have been tagged and other condolences for my dad's death. I have not posted replies or responded with the tags or........... I have been real busy with everything and not been able to get much done. I have been stuck with many bills from my dad and now I need to pay rent for an apartment that is not lived in.

With all this I have my wife and puppies on the couch, stomach full and a new couch on the way tomorrow (a replacement for the one Ivory ate :-)
