Chase's Dog Days

Lonely in the sticks

My friends all live far away now. My MA pup pals visit rarely as I visit them rarely too. My neighbors moved next door and within 1 month tragedy struck their family and forced them to move across the country, far away from afternoon romps in the yards. Mom can see it on my face and in how I move around the yard, I am alone and it is starting to get to me. I think mom has a plan. I hope it is a good one. She looks sad too. No adults (as she calls then) to talk too for weeks at a time for either of us is uncomfortable and foreign to us.

A porch with a view

My family has a new place and I have my very own porch with a view of my backyard. I have a few polite neighbors that sniff and play and also a few neighbors that bark first and play later :-) but most interesting to me is our horse nieghbor boy does he look, sound and smell different! I lay in cool grass on hot days and relax with some soft tunes on the porch with mom on rainy afternoons. This is a dogs life!

Gurading the Holiday Tree!

Chase has found his new favorite Guard post! Here are some of his thoughts...
"This is new, normally mom is cheep and gets a fake tree! It smells so rustic and alluring, I must protect it's natural scent and beauty! Look at me mom I am standing guard, the kids are trying to put sparkles on my tree, our tree... I mean our tree! Iam just gonna put my butt right in the way little one's try to get those balls on that branch now! This is hard work, I think I will just lay down right in front of the tree. Eye's growing heavy... beautiful enchanting lights, so comforting... zzzzzzzzzzzz."
