Well, today I got to meet a bunch of other dogs. Man....were they all big!!

I was nervous at first but after a while I started to get the hang of it. Why do they love smelling my butt?

They were all pretty nice except for one little wise guy who started to get a little mean. I showed him though. A couple of growls and letting him see my teeth straightened him out. All the owners thought it was pretty cool that I stood up for myself.

I think I'd like to go back to the dog run pretty soon. I figured out that it's pretty cool to start running around with them.

Well, my second vet visit was interesting. I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks.....why does everyone keep saying that I am going to be BIG?

I got my rabies and distemper shots.....and now.....I'm off to the outside! They said I have to wait a few days to mingle with other dogs but nothing is going to stop me from walking around the block a few times. So now I got to see where all those noises that I heard from inside were coming from.

Hmmm......birds are sure noisy. Squirrels? Just wait until I get to chase you. We'll see who's faster!!

Still like to chew things. The vet said I shoould be losing my "Puppy teeth" soon. Hmmm.....wonder what that's going to be like?

This Saturday I think we're off to the dog park. I hope those other dogs know that they have to worship me. After all, I'm the Queen.....LOL

Well, this morning was my first visit to the vet after my adoption. I love my vet and all the people at the office. They couldn't stop telling me how cute I was. Well, of course I am. Like I didn't know that already.

I weigh 11 pounds and the doctor said that my stitches from being spayed are just about healed. My ears are great, my temperature was perfect and I'm in terrific health. I have a heartworm pill to take and a flea and tick treatment that my family is going to give me.

Since I have been dying to go out, the doctor said I coould go in the backyard only if I'm closely watched since I didn't get my rabies shot yet. So, dad, Jeanette and Sara took me out when we got home. I had to wear that dumb leash but that's ok. Guess what I found out? I love to dig!! Being outside was terrific. So much to explore.

Then we went inside and I had another surprise.....they gave me my first bath!! Actually, it was kind of fun. And I got to smell pretty nice afterwards. And for all that......TREATS!!!

Next vet visit is April 5 and I think I'm getting my rabies shot then. We'll see how that goes. After that....I'm off for walks. More to come......
